Hello Dr. Jones. My daughter and I are wondering if eggs are a sufficient protein. We are vegetarians and unless it is needed we would like to just use eggs(with all the other ingredients mentioned). In your opinion, is the turkey going to help more? Our dog had come with instructions to only give him rice and chicken dog food. He doesn't digest lamb or beef and he throws up a lot.

I was told chik peas (garbanzo beans) and pumpkin puree good for dogs too.

Hi, I realize this vlog is 2 years old so hopefully you will still see this comment. Last September (2023) My 8 year old 10 pound Papillion was diagnosed with early stage kidney disease. His CBC in September 23 was 484 and while having a dental they did a urinalysis extraction which I am unclear of the numbers but was told they were better than his blood work. Since tbe diagnosis he has been on a very strict Hills renal diet. I would love some recommendations. My last Pap lived until 20 and want to see Syd live a long happy healthy life as LucyLOO did. Any suggestions very welcome.

What about salting our dogs food? And potassium chloride? Is it necessary to add it?

I have a Carnivore diet myself and all the drs. that promote it say we get all our vitamins from meat. Why do dogs need supplements and vegetables and carbs. Do they not work well off Ketones?

I’ve 3 y/o chihuahuas who have always had bad constipation. I’ve tried budget kibble and canned foods and expensive prescription and pet store foods. I’ve added oil, water, broth, flax, oats, vegetables, everything vet suggests. Nothing helps reduce the huge stools or pain of movements. Please advise if cooking this recipe will stop this or if I can add other ingredients. Thanks for your helpful videos

Is ground 85 percent lean turkey ok for homemade dog food balanced with the other things you mention in this video? Sunflower oil... lean beef and sunflower oil. You're a genius, for sure.

The main reasons dogs are not a healthy or living as long as because, they are being over medicated, fed to much processed food, have there hormones taken away, not exercised enough. I feed a homemade diet, minimal jabs and natural worming and flee prevention. My dog hasn't been neutered. And is walked every day. She is the healthiest dog I've ever seen. Ground flax is very toxic… please research. You need to ground them and use them immediately. Please investigate, very easy to find.

Sherlock is small but has had Cushings Disease for about a year & a half ! Hes taking Vetoryl, Denamarin & Thyro Tabs and has been eating Hills Science Percription Diet WD Multi Benefit ! Hes doin good but hes loosing muscle & a lil weight ! Can u please give me a good healthy recipe that will be best for the Cushings & all the vitamins,oils & minerals he needs ! Watson is tall for a mini schnauzer & is overweight can you please give me the best recipe for him to lose weight but keep his muscle ?? And also the vitamins, oil & minerals he needs They get carrots for treats ! They both love fruits & veggies! They dont get any other foods ! I wud really appreciate ur help ! You are the best doc.. Thank you. When I feed her a raw diet, taking her off of commercial dog food, everything changes, her coat, her skin tone, her enthusiasm, her motivation, no more year starting around her eyes. It's incredible.

Sorry, sunflower oil is NOT balanced omega3/6 ratio. Actually many clinical trials on this oil counts to that itś heavily inflammatory. Shortens your dogś life and gives it painful arthritis at a later stage in life that usually ends with euthanation.

What about adding beans to homemade dog food?
