To be honest, i didnt knkow if i was going to use the rubber moulds from certain brands enough to make them worth it. So i went looking on the net for alternatives and found this. After a few tries it worked and since there is 30 meter on a roll of foil, there is loads of rock to be done with this :) Cheap and insanely effective
Ответить700 like. Bis thanks for share Bro
ОтветитьVery clever!
ОтветитьCool stuff. I wonder if this would work on a larger scale with rebar and some rock like molds material ? For landscaping? I thought about doing miniature with wire. I used to love this as a kid when I made dioramas. Yours are beautiful! 😍
Ответить👍
ОтветитьWhat do you seal it in to prevent flaking and cracking?
ОтветитьI use alu foil for the grill/barbecue. Because it's much thicker than kitchen foil you don't have to glue 3 or 4 sheets together. You can use it straight away. And because it's wider (approx. 40cm) you can make much bigger plates which give you more single pieces if you want to break it.

I tried twice getting a mini leak both time on the bottom and the bottom feel damp is that supposed to happen or did i need the pva to set longer (im new to diorama 😅)
ОтветитьCan what u made use for the outside walls to decorate??
ОтветитьWhat kind of plaster did you use?
ОтветитьYou sounded like the count
ОтветитьCurious if you can make an impression of a landscape rock with the foil.
Ответитьanother option it to actually push the foil into a real rock surface and use it as a template
Ответитьthis is what a I needed.. you rocck!!
ОтветитьThat sucks
ОтветитьThanks
Ответитьi heard you can take a real rock and just put it on the table and you will be complete.
ОтветитьYes I find it helpful. thanks for showing the technic
Ответитьdidnt see how to get the "final result".
