I despise openings with a lot of music, telling you to stay tuned. I believe we already know why we watch and I much prefer a short opening and get into the meat of what the video is about. Less words have more power when crafted correctly. Many openings kill the quality of an entire video. Seems like music is used to fill dull space. Hailie Deegan's vidoes are done with short shots of the subject and loud obnoxious music. You cannot focus on what the subject is before the camera switches to something else. I unsubscribed. The person that edits them only thinks he knows how to make a good video because the popularity of Hailie Deegan overshadows his ineptness and the viewer numbers do not exhibit what could be. Anyone that enjoys racing should be watching your interviews because each one is a home run.

The continued connections that you both are making has paid off great for everyone that has been following you! You may not realize it now but you are making history by saving history and the both of you will eventually be part of the history of this sport because of what you are doing right now! Mark my words! The Stapleton name will go down in the annals of Nascar history as the people that saved the history of the sport in video form!

A pure legend. Guys like him made the sport. They had a story. The announcers at the time cemented the legendary status. The sport is about people. NASCAR has a personality problem. The story that got them there made these guys legends. It’s not very exciting for it to be well my daddy is rich or famous and that is why I got racing.

Mitchell, don’t get down on building engines!! I know you can do it!!

Early on in my career (CAT heavy equipment mechanic), when I was still in college, I worked with one of the old guys in our shop. We had a C15 flipped over setting on the deck of the block and he told me to install the main bearings. (That engine has two different types of bearings, one with a hole that goes in the block for lubrication and one that goes in the cap without an oil hole.) He told me the hole goes up and walked away. So, I put the bearings in that did not have an oil hole down… which would’ve been in the block since it was upside down. After that, set the crank in, torqued it down and carried on. I put every main bearing in backwards. The oil hole was in every main cap and each main journal had the bearing meant for the cap. That engine ran for about two hours on assembly lube before it spun a rod bearing (because that wasn’t getting oil either because the passage was blocked by the backwards main bearing) That was a $10,000 mistake I’m glad I didn’t have to pay for. But I learned a valuable lesson: ALWAYS double check your work and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

Transmissions, yeah, I’m with you. I don’t have any desire to rebuild those either.

Another home run. I started following Nascar in the early 60s and by 63 my information as a yankee was from Motor Trend and Hot rod that would carry the results. Many of the old timers are aging out and your history videos are invaluable.Holman and Moody were everything back in the day. Thank You for the shows

I’m still surprised to this day how Waddell hasn’t aged at all. He still looks like he could pass off being a young 30-40 year old man still, and he’s in his 80s now.

In all seriousness though, for everything this man has done for NASCAR as a sport, the auto industry in general, for big companies like Cummins, and for all of us fans, especially those who were lucky enough to grow up watching the men he worked with drive to win after win after win, I think I speak for all of us when I say a simple… thank you for everything, Waddell Wilson. 🫡
