I am wondering whats the difference compared to grab doc and using that as alpha apart from convenience ?

Well, I followed your instructions step after step by stopping the video, with the cylinder and a head from the demo projects. Before pressing the Project basrelief button I selected the cylinder in the subtool section, but nothing happens. I can see the orange bar running from left to right, so it is processing, but the head relief is not transfered to the cylinder. The only thing I didn't do is creating the rim around the cylinder, but I think that hasn't anything to do with it. I saved the project for another day. 😊

Is there anyway to project the alpha and not have that giant hole on the opposite side of the mesh? ?

I take it none of this capability is present in Core?
