By far one of the greatest war movies ever made.

I'm Somalia, my families lost 5 parents at the battles of La Marne & Verdun during this awful war.
I watched this movie and I felt depressed by thinking of all of the people who died on both sides.
It is still hard to believe that happened. Respect to the fallen ones.

Very average movie ... Visuals were spectacular but the story lacked.

When you take injustice and alliances and add to them command structures, you get war. And once you have war, those in command use soldiers to exhaust the enemy's ammo.

One of the best movies of all time and the best movie about WWI. The last scene, when Paul trying to go outside from the trench room and see peace time one last time, was utmost heartbreaking. This's the best movie I've ever watched!

The Leaders who started this senseless War were Criminals sending 16 million to their Death. In the end, what did they really gain? WWII was just a continuation of WWI.

i found an old diary from those days. A daughter who lost her dad and three brothers. Her grandaughter placed the diary in the charity shop. Imagine that! We live in piteous times. I had the beautiful diary published but only sold 7 copies.

I would have weird reoccurring nightmares of fighting some war and running across a burnt field as a kid. When I watched the original or movies like Saving Private Ryan I had a full blown panic attack because it was like how my dreams felt. I’m not saying I’ve ever been thru what a soldier has, but if reincarnation is real I’m happy one of their souls is living a peaceful life within me.

Ok, I am completely obsessed with World War One, almost every single day since 2009 when I discovered my obsession I’ve been kicking myself for not filling my head full of knowledge since 1992 wen I started high school. Ww1 isn’t something that really matters to boys 13-15. It’s a shame because that’s wen we really absorb stuff.. I love the first version, and the one with Richard Thomas “John boy” but telling the same story in three different movies seems excessive, but not very much is original anymore, so hopefully it’ll be flawless right? Hope so. I pray there’s a few young Steven Spielbergs and Scorsese’s in our future, but I’m not gonna hold my breath. Some movies u just can’t remake, I mean who would ever be able to play Nicky Santoro? Cmon who?? Nobody, correct. Let’s write new stuff and let the old stuff be remembered for the greats, it’s a little too much digging up bones for me these days. 😊
