March 2017 Patch Notes

Wow i can only imagine having friends who played this. Oh well. Back to Arma 3 and the friends that.... don't..... play that either........

played both and UT-99 is still better to this day sadly.

I love this game. I love Unreal Tournament. Especially UT2004.
But I would love to have a CTF Quickplay option. Not just Flag Run.

I do wonder if they'll eventually do a "Tournament Mode" down the track.

Whaaaaat the hell did you guys do to Chill. Every change made it look worse, and it never had visual clutter to begin with. Who the hell makes a great looking map then downgrades its visuals to 2010 quality

My god, the TAA solution is awful, just look at these ringing artifacts.

This game has a great future. Never seen that so thought through details of mechanic. Love it.

I will definitely advert my friends to play this game starting today. Impressive changes everytimes.

Who needs Overwatch?

It looks worse and runs worse than before. Jumped today to try it out and everyone was complaining on the server; especially about the movement. I don't blame them, either. Not sure what is Epic doing, but I don't see this game picking up with these changes they are making to the movement and rerfing the weapons.

The new Chill looks fantastic. It has a more cold and isolated feeling now compared to earlier and it's always nice with higher framerates.

It's great to see this game continuously evolve. Hopefully we'll see an eventual full release and a decently active community to help this game stay alive!

It's obvious EPIC doesn't give a damn about this new UT. The game has been in pre-alpha for 3 freaking years and there is no beta in sight. EPIC's priority is its MOBA game "Paragon" which they threw all resources on including developers and marketing. There are 10 of not less working on UT, no marketing, no budget. This game will be stillborn IF it's out of beta someday, and it's a big IF. See you in Quake Champions.

How do they make money with this game ?

My game runs at 60FPS but it never looks that smooth.

I really like that you put your time to make new weapon animations and those new health pickups, but i feel like a lot of potential is lost in here. If you update the viewmodels, you could very well make it an option to use the old viewmodel animations in the misc. settings tab.
The snipers animation feels like it uses too much force and looks a little "choppy".
The flak cannon's animation looks like the bones of the weapon arent moving that much. I know that it still moves the same amount but because of the weapon origin and its position it looks like its moving a lot less. You could tweak the origin/placement or the animation so it would add more eye-candy.

Pls add double jump like ut2004

Plz read this !! i play UT since 99 and im kind addicted to it.i love new UT BUT...this new patch made game unplayable becouse of movement..why in the world you make experiments like this'? most players are not happy with this change..i just hope you will return normal movements back, becouse all years of playing and skill i have are GONE after this patch ! tnx !

You need a minigun, impact hammer, redeemer, bio rifle model, translocator model... Plus please add the ripper back. Be nice since there is some concepts already in the ut forms.

We still need VCTF mode and hoverboard.

The new health pack and armor models. Well they look like shit. The old ones looked cool and futuristic. Now they look like some crap out a early access survival game on unity. The textures are trash the models are even worse. They were fine the way they were. While you're at it. Get rid of over heat on the Link gun. Even with over heat it's still super spammy. Just lower the fire rate or damage. Or maybe both. The over heat feels like a reload and reloads have no place in Unreal. The other changes look good. I think the weapon models are getting a little big.

Just watching these videos brings back UT99 Lan party memories! I really hope this game gains a bigger audience and people get hooked on the Unreal legacy.

For gods love DISABLE that totaly useless and super annoying gay voice from (Flag Run!). Tonight through the Tutorial it was my first time that I've tryed this and I liked it but the voice made me want to exit the game within a minute... I also got the 60 Gold Stars (All challenge at Level 3) yet I unlocked nothing new, damn lie!

Most things seems to be better in this patch but the Flak was way better before, it MUST BE LETHAL at Blank range ffs! That's the whole point of a shotgun!

Good changes, now please market this game so people actually know about it. While you're at it, get rid of the GL and revert the changes to the RL because they were completely unnecessary and nobody likes them. Thanks.

And has the rocket launcher's alt fires been left alone as it was? Or do we still have the ultimate spam "grenade" launcher that does less damage than the slower firing rocket launcher's alt-fire grenades?

I prefer Quake's movement (including champions, yes i played the closed beta last weekend) but I still love UT because of how FUN it is. If i want to play an ultra-competitive Arena shooter quake champions will probably tend my needs the best but this is still a fun and mostly pure-hearted game and i really wish more people would play it.

God I hope this game will be a masterpiece that many people play in the future.

please allow users to change the voices, i played a match where the guys voice sounded so much like the kid from "Go Diego Go" that it was unnerving painful playing to be constantly reminded how childish the voice actor sounded over such a game.

Also if you guys can please give players "created characters you pick from" and not these sci-fi looking skins would be nice, and Please change the sniper gun to look like a sniper gun!

the maps so far is outstanding, but there is to much of a Sci-fiction feeling with the character and the guns,. in the past they looked like something that existed or bad ass looking, now they feel slim and odd.
