I really needed this tutorial for something that I am doing, but it does not work and I don't understand why. I added the mapping node like said in the comment but I keep not understanding. I did the exact same thing on the video and I am using 2.93.3 lol

really cool. Thx for the share. Would that tree technique support video mask as well? - thinking would be cool to simulate shadow from branches/leaves blowing in wind during an animation. Update: actually, nm on this question. I saw the imagine sequence node in there. Would be super easy to create these animated masks in grease pencil - still have to learn tho ...

Great advice. Instead of the invert node I put a colorRamp node that works well by inverting the black and white and you can change the colors. Thanks
