The first thing that came to me was "They fell into one of those nightmare fissures". The ones from the nightmare boss area, I think. Although, I'm not sure. I haven't been keeping up to date with the game.

It might be the Pig that Maxwell in prison and Charlie felt bad for the Pig and decided to give him a new home with new powers that’s my thoughts.

I feel like this boss is very basic, and needs another gimmick or two. Idea: What if when you defeated The Nightmare Werepig, he would drop the loot, say it isnt over, and then run away. Then, after ~20 days, he would respawn near you, immediantly enter stalking mode, and follow you. so if you fight him once, you have to deal with him every 20 days for the rest of the world.

I think the were pig should spawn with some turf that spawns like how spider web turf spawns around spider nests. Would make it look in place.

At first glance I thought the nightmare were pig was just pig king’s nightmare form

Could be interesting if he was able to spawn after you play at least 1-3 plays on the stage idk I just feel like boss like that being avaliable to beat day 2 is a big drop. Or the cave thingie you said that would be cool and even harder to fight then

One thing about new armor, its much better that shadow armor on Maxwell and granny Wanda because they negate sanity drain 100%. On normal shadow armor they still lose sanity because they don't negate sanity on hit effect

I like the boss' attacks since it is somewhat similar to how pigmen actually fight in the game, but I can't help but feel that this is very random and out of place and it also doesn't seem to have any lore implications thus far. But I may just be missing something.

This boss feels out of place, and the armor not doing anything feels weird. In general im not a huge fan of the wilson refresh, as it feels like an rpg and not the dont starve we all know and love/hate depending on the season

I cant wait for the cinematic coming with this update. Would be cool if this guy and Wilson are connected somehow

Having fun with all the Wilson skill tree abilities I never fought him. The shadow transmutes are awesome for the changing of the boss loot

as cool as it is to have a new boss, I kind of wish there was some way to maybe pacify the guy, the way he's not only imprisoned but the animations show him in a lot of discomfort, together with the rather involved process of freeing him, I feel kinda bad for having to fight him after, maybe there could be a different situation if we freed him during a full moon or maybe even we feed him some specific items that would cause him to trust us before being freed 🤔

He probably respawns in another location every time, and you gotta find him

If it's not Wilbas father, I hope you can turn normal pigs into daywalkers by feeding them a pure horror or four

for the lunge attack, i recommend going around him, you can only get hit if you're infront of him so if you move to the side he wont hit you and if you go behind you can get a few hits in

Love the design but I do wish he had some more interesting attacks kinds like the combo he hits in the last phase

Just glad to see another boss that has variable kiting/attack patterns. The shadow parasites is a really cool idea in my opinion. Looks pretty fun, but I do agree he looks out of place. Perhaps he should spawns in the center of a chess set piece?

Tbh he does look like a cave boss. Maybe a ruins boss?

If you're playing as Wolfgang or Warly then you can free this guy as soon as you find him, and I'm not sure if you have to have a nightmare amulet or if you can just kill the parasites while you're insane, but if you have the ability to you kill him early on it could be easier and safer than a trip to the ruins. I agree there should be more to it though, the set seems pretty bland

Hopefully the stats are just placeholder, which is why they're identical to night armor

Any opportunity to pit the Nightmare Pig against seasonal bosses like Deerclops or Bearger? - If possible I could see myself intentionally breaking his chains and parasites just as Deerclops arrives then making them rumble.
