thanks to you i plan on making a larp cosplay of a rogue/ ranger using your vids to make stuff for it.
ОтветитьKit the haberdasher.
ОтветитьThe hat's previous owner "died suddenly", and the last thing he heard was your character saying he'd wear the pirate's hat everywhere so people would remember.
ОтветитьThats awsome bro
ОтветитьLovely result, sir.
ОтветитьAh, good. You've discovered how to draw an ellipse with pins, a loop of string, and a scribing tool. Extra points for figuring out how to make it intersect the axes at the desired points.
ОтветитьGrab a second hand hat or dollor store hat to cut up... the physics behind curveture, bend and slope to various shaped tops is rewardingly educational and cheap templates
ОтветитьThe hat is Mother's Ruin
Ответить"you know when your brain just holds onto a thing"
You might have a touch of the tism my friend
I totally understand your pain with getting hooked on drawing ovals or whatever the task at hand is. I've been there sooooo many times.
ОтветитьFinally! I've been looking for such a tutorial on how to make a hat like this. Now all I have to do is get to work haha
ОтветитьThose are the roundest ovals. They look a whole lot like circles. Maybe it is the camera angle
ОтветитьF for the gin bottle
ОтветитьA little constructive criticism - that background music gets REAL grating after a while because it's so repetitive. I couldn't finish the video. The hat looks great, tho!
Ответить~Canon~
This man has ADHD
These are the times Im reminded Clever is not a machinist or a Tradesman, love you tho!
ОтветитьI recently came up with a solution for making the templates if you dont have a hat to measure from, wrapping wire around your head and transferring it to the material.
ОтветитьJunilarper? Lol😉
ОтветитьHi, I really enjoy watching your videos, and It made me try to recreate some of your creations.
So I wanted to ask if it would be possible for you to make a video on making a kilt (if possible maybe one with pockets(I know it isn't really traditional with intcrated pockets, but they are practical)), the videos and instructions I could find where not really detailed, and trying to follow them, wasn't working.
If it isn't possible, no worries, or if you already have a video similar to it, I would be very thankful if you could guide me to that one.
That would be all. Thank you for making those videos they are a joy to watch.
There's glass everywhere... too excited... 😂 I'm glad you kept that in.
Ответитьnext time...drink your OVALTINE!?!?! :P --> hat name... ovaltine :)
ОтветитьEmpress Juniper Ginsen
ОтветитьYou look more like a Mexican bandido than a musketeer
ОтветитьPropper way to stiffen the hat is steam and starch (well historically mercury and steam)
Ответитьnot a milliner, but according to auburn leathercrafters:
"Hat bands serve both practical and decorative purposes. You can use them to help make your hat fit better on your head. They also can keep the hat from getting misshaped."
Gareth duped a pirate by cheating at poker(or similar gambling), and now he is always concerned when entering certain areas for fear of running into this pirate again
ОтветитьWhy wax thread with leather? What would happen if you used regular thread?
ОтветитьGo with Ginuper cause your character is drunk and dyslexic
ОтветитьI dub the hat the tap-paulin (tarpaulin is the name of the tarred hat worn by sailors, not just tarps. And tap because drink)
ОтветитьIn the summer, you will be a real hot head. I had a waxed canvas one that was a real sauna. Even fur felt is hot in the winter during activity. You could add an ostrich plume.
ОтветитьHistorically, Archers secured their extra bow strings as a hat band for if their bow strings fail during hunting and/or wars.
ОтветитьNeeds feathers. Look up 16th century Landsknect hats.
ОтветитьI love the story that developed after the addition of the kraken button! Awesome work, again!
ОтветитьThat's a fantastic hat!
ОтветитьYou should make a backpack that has a canopy and could turn From a canopy to a SMALL tent slash rest point for a trader
ОтветитьJunifier sounds pretty cool
ОтветитьThis reminds me of Twisted Fate from LoL tbf
ОтветитьHat bands are important structural feature (or were at least), they reinforce the most stressed part of the hat to help it keep it's shape. Importantly the hat-band material should always be more resistant to stretching than the hat material, hence leather or silk on felt/structured fabric/straw hats, braided or heavier leather on leather hats. The band stops the hat material from moving too much to conform to your dome.
ОтветитьBeen quite interested in making a hat like this with a flop brim. Much like in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.
Ответитьah, Cl3ver: taking 'Kit-Bashing' to entirely new and ridiculous levels never imagined by mere mortals (pun intended)
ОтветитьI’m no hat pro, but maybe, just maybe, add some holes for ventilation?
ОтветитьI'm currently forging a rapier and I want a musketeer hat to go along with it, so I searched how to make one and this video popped up, uploaded 4 days ago! Perfect timing Skill Tree!
ОтветитьI love to see you make your own fantasy style leather shoes I think it would be a interesting episode for you to make as well
ОтветитьI’m surprised you didn’t add pockets or some other alternate functions to it. Seriously though, it looks great.
ОтветитьThe fold goes on the side of your sword hand. So the brim doesn't get in your way of sword wielding
Ответитьdude, you're the best!
I live in Russia and do LARP games. I am inspired by you! Thank you
Not to be an a-hole but... would have "printing out a perfect oval" worked for the "how to get the perfect oval" desaster?
Love your chanel! My kind of creative, my kind of crazy.
