I really like the way Peacock does movies 9n their stream....they stream the ads all at first then you get to enjoy the whole movie ad free after that which is a great way to do it❤

Prime is now GARBAGE! You thought there was nothing on Prime BEFORE? Now it’s ALL garbage — every other line on the home screen is “Free with Ads” for a service WE ALREADY PAY to be ad free?? What a bunch of chiselers. 🤦‍♂️ Might as well cancel Prime, it’s worth less now than it ever was.

My idea of live TV is the news or sporting events. I have been free streaming for over 5 years, as far as l can tell there is no such thing as free streaming ‘live’ TV. You want live, you pay, everything else is canned. Somebody let me know if l’m missing something here.

One last thought is that if you are addicted to CNN MSNBC or any other reputable really reputable News channel you'll still have to pay about 1 to $3 a day just to watch that one channel why is it the live-streamed news happening in the MS is no longer fre??? Huh???

Oh dear God I hope that happen soon because I'm getting sick and tired and broke by giving the streaming companies anywhere from 30 to 100 bucks a month just to watch real news channels in a few good movies not all though.. and why is it that they give away so much Cable in movie information on the streaming services but you can't watch any news channels in livestream unless you pay for 😊 it, it becomes a real detriment to your wallet when you know for a fact the CNN MSNBC and a couple of others are worth hundreds of billions of dollars almost close to a trillion dollars or more and they could give away their lives came from nothing but they're just being greedy!!!!

I'm NEVER buying another Amazon device again after this Amazon Recast DVR business-- Amazon stopped selling Recast hardware and there's only an email from an Amazon executive to a tech website what their policy is to support hardware with security updates only for a small timeframe. Recast was released in 2018 and Amazon stopped selling them in 2022. For many of us, we bought Recasts in the past 2-3 years, so we bought obsolete devices.

I called Amazon to understand what our options are and Amazon is PLAYING GAMES. I had a customer care rep and a supervisor call the Recast End of Life fake information claiming it's EOL isn't listed on any Amazon site. They are playing legal games because there are consequences for sunsetting or EOLing hardware.

Google recently EOLed Dropcam security cameras and have offered an upgrade path. When I called Google about the EOL, they did the right thing by REPLACING all 8 cameras they killed with MUCH better current Google cameras (they sent me $800 worth of cameras with free shipping). These Dropcams are 12 years old.

Amazon would rather STOP selling products, support security updates for a couple of years, and watch their hardware go to obsolescence. Amazon is playing an attrition game with their hardware. I'm certain they're doing this with FireTVs, Roombas, and ALL of their other Alexa hardware.

Unacceptable.

I have an Alexa smart home and have hundreds of Amazon IOT devices-- Echo, Echo Show, Echo Plugs, FireTVs, FireTV Sticks, Roombas, etc.

These Recasts were basically sunset within 3 years of their launch and Amazon hasn't officially acknowledged a product discontinuation.

I have 2 Recasts (spent $400) for 2 different homes.

It's A GAME, Amazon, and its baloney.

I'm NEVER BUYING another Amazon device again.

will amazon fire tv have ads? and no you are wrong big time the reason I subbed to cable for so long was to skip or avoid ads entirely. There is no other reason to spend tons for a dvr. local ads, and all the pharmaceuticals they have on tv now make me want to barf or take a shower. They are grossest ever.

Where have the under $40 streaming packages with Fox, Fox Business, Discover, History, ESPN, Fox Sports gone? All of them are now charging $75 per month. And don't suggest SLING. Sling SUCKS. Almost all liberal democrat news and channels. I'm seriously thinking of getting back on Comcast cable if they'll give me a good internet + TV bundle price.

Yet to see a streaming service free or paid that broadcasts all of MY LOCAL/REGIONAL CHANNELS like a 7 bucks antenna would. The few ones that offer it charge $80 to $120 per month, makes just subscribe back to direct tv, at least for $60 a month I get real tv experience. Cord cutters it's just an illusion, one ends up paying more in the long run.

I recently cut the cord with DISH. There is not enough room here for me to explain why. Signed up for a Verizon.plan.that gives me music, phone, text, mirroring, internet, GPS, email, camera,. Video and the list goes on. I have been trying for 4 months to get DISH to terminate my TV service with them. The employees in India are not very user friendly. I.haven't paid them for the 4 months so that is starting to get their attention.

Cut the cord. Get rabbit ears for free local over the air TV. Select your streaming provider carefully, and save a lot of money. The hell with the striking writers.

I think with writers, there needs to be more quality over quantity. That's a big issue with all this 'content'. They aren't really delivering hit shows. Often getting cancelled after just one season, yet they expect to be kept on

I like the free ad supported TV apps. The ads can be jarring though. You don't have the fading transitions before the ad - the ads just start randomly at weird places. Hard to complain considering the price. I think that OTA TV is going to completely disappear within the next few years. They want those frequencies for cell phones. Free, ad supported streaming will replace it.

I guarantee that all "free" services will be bait and switch. Nothing is free. Amazon calls movies they show as "free", omitting the cost of your membership, Safeway and Walmart call delivery free, but only if you pay for their memberships. Yeah, sure, free. Ha
