I would get an aftermarket shock set and lower springs until it sags. Then, put in a limiter strap to keep it from over extending.

Ford made an F high boy in those years. But I think your low trail is more scale accurate! All the high trail look like truck with 2" body lift and 6" skyjacker leaf springs!

To get full articulation in back shock, all you had to do is dremel the top plastic off the Bronco shock tower...Works perfect.

The only thing Chevy makes that's decent is the LS, their vehicles are butt ugly these days. Chevy got heavy and fell loud and hard. People who hate on Ford, never owned one. They also are the grandfathers of the automobile. They were cranking out cars before GM even existed.

I bought my black F150 a month ago, and love it just the way it is. I truck around the house, my two dogs don’t really know what to think about it. Was planning on loading up some pupperoni or beggin strips and do the pied piper thing. Still waiting for that perfect amount of powdery snow to see what she’s made of.❤

The side mirror breaks very soon and easily. The Hightrail karosserie is unfortunately a failed production and not worth the money.

I had a spare TQi kicking around with the blutooth module (from my dts1 drag tree that i stopped using over a year ago) and this alone gives you much more to play with alone.

I immediately loved the look of the High Trail as look's like my real life truck. Imo 𝙉𝙊𝙏 the best crawler as just sits to high and to top heavy out the box.

does any one know if there is a more durable replacement option for mirrors with this truck? unfortunately mine broke within the first couple hours of driving after 1 or 2 minor tumbles...

Low trailing the high trail makes it look like it has one ton suspension, it's a good look 🤘🍻🤘

I actually made my f150 a low trail by taking the spring mounts on the bottom of the shocks!

I went an even cheaper, probably worse in every way, route, I cut a coil from the top of the stock springs, just one coil made all the difference I wanted….And then removed the toy-like roll bar, first two mods…..

I have that exact same truck...... just got it 2 weeks ago and it's my first foray into the hobby rc space and I can't imagine wanting to lower it. I specifically payed another 30 bucks for a high trail edition for the extra lift when I was really eyeing the new bronco. However to each thier own but I gotta say those old f-150s look so good! And I did get mine at my local hobby shop to support local businesses as I myself am a small business owner. Enjoyed the video 💯

Could just pull the springs out of the shocks and use half a pen spring in each shock, under the piston to force it to be compressed but still have controlled articulation your welcome

How would I send u a pic of my truck. I was able to lower it with the stock tires on it with no issues and it made it look like something u would see from the Bigfoot family driving around as a daily driver 😂

Hello good morning. I believe lowering it males it perform better ND overall look awesome. I didn't remove the towers I just removed all the springs on each corner making the truck level. Removed the 6 lug wheel, 79 ford's especially f150 were 5 lug and added smaller tires. Also removed the roll bar

I’ve seen another video where the guy flipped the escalator and mounted it further forward to angle the upper shock mounts forward - would this lower the rear enough to match the front drop?

NOOOO WHAT HAPPENED?!?! 😢 It was scale for a 79 F150 with a lift kit. You distoyed the rear suspension. I also bought my Dad LED lights for his in 1981! Looks good but No! I'm from Alberta, everyone hear lifts their truck! It is the norm in oil county. The brown is my favorite. You are my favorite RC guy by far Bud!!!

Hell no! In north Florida we drive big azz mud trucks! Seriously tho.. I’m not concerned with scale. I want it lifted. That’s why I’m getting it. I like that my standard trx4 hightrail has many bolt on wheel and tire options, without worrying about rubbing. I mean.. it’s still scape but scale to people who like lifted mud trucks. Low trail looks like something my dad would drive.

You are taking about the best body style truck that anybody anywhere ever made.Its clean lines elegance and it says work all over it. Covered in mud or shined up it says truck.All size tires seem to fit and look right for some reason...

I do love the energy and the jokes on all the vids ive watched. Classic intros. I have to admit i am not a traxxas fan. Also they do have great rigs they are great in looks and performance but im not a fan.
