my collection consists of "a" 1963 Honda CB77 road racer from the 60's complete with period fairing tan and seat plus frame mods, peg relocation and many hand built parts from front to rear. I'm 84 and used to race one myself.
ОтветитьI still remember my Dad breaking his ankle, starting one of his Vincent's when I was about 10
ОтветитьThe jet bike is his favorite. EVERY tour through his place I've seen he shows off the jet bike 😄
ОтветитьI live in the Andover Ma. area and that dealership is still there and my father was a salesman there when he was a young man.
ОтветитьThanks to Jay for mentioning Bridgestone Motorcycles i used to own , a 175 CC 2 Stroke
ОтветитьAmazing collection 😳👍♥️
ОтветитьHappy holidays bubby
ОтветитьLAWRENCE OF ARABIA TE LAWRENCE WAS AN AVID BROUGH OWNER
ОтветитьFound a ss100 in the back of someones garage under a tarp about 30 years ago. But he knew what it was😢
ОтветитьJay is a plethora of knowledge. He needs to mentor someone who wants to learn all of this so it can be passed down. I could listen to all of this for years
ОтветитьVery informative 👍🇬🇧
ОтветитьBeen a Motocycle and Scooter enthusiast for most my 70 some years, & enjoy them all. Never rode for any particular brand or image creation, just good practical once affordable & enjoyable and self serviceable transportation. Although as a kid i had a knucklehead and a panhead as my first cheap street bikes, but i always had a passion for British bikes. I remember branded guys always touting the a Harley could be fixed with a butter knife and a ball peen hammer or a buck knife and a pair of vice grips..Every once in a while i still meet someone old enough that actually still says that, Obviously those guys have never worked on their own bikes, and today i would bet that very few HD riders have ever heard of a Brough or Matchless and likely think that a JAP engine was something from Japan.
ОтветитьI have the utmost respect for Mr Leno's knowledge and passion. Those Broughs and Vincents rule. But I've never been aware of the Ace, it is at least as beautiful.
What a collection and video! Wow. Thank you both and Jay Leno for making this happen. Always wanted to see your collection Jay. Now even a bigger fan after seeing all those bikes. Fantastic and so great to hear your knowledge and experience with them. Truly a historical museum of mechanical wonder. 😊
ОтветитьMy Grandad worked at Brough in Nottingham he used to spoke the wheels so he built a part of Jays bike. He went onto run Raleigh and was behind a few of their tour De France wins . A great video brings back memories.
ОтветитьI most certainly agree that he is an exceptional person.
ОтветитьHow much money does this man actually have. His collection is unreal.
ОтветитьJay is so well versed on his machines. So cool. Great video guys!
ОтветитьJay's a walking encyclopedia of automotive history...if I ever hit the lottery, I'm gonna be just like that...tons of motorcycles...
ОтветитьCan we meet for coffee Jay?..I'm in the uk
ОтветитьBeautiful.....my friend showwww 🇧🇷🇺🇸🏁
ОтветитьAny steam Powered Motor Cycles ?????
ОтветитьDubbing over the intro audio was weird as hell
ОтветитьAwesome vid – thanks for posting! Little connection and nostalgia: I was one of the folks who was called occasionally to do voiceovers for Jay for the Tonight Show, between about 2000 and 2006 (mainly, whenever they would need character voices). Was definitely cool when Jay would drive a different vehicle almost every day, to the studio. One time I did get to see that jet bike, which was awesome. Also got to see his Stanley Steamer steam car (as well as a number of our other awesome vehicles).
ОтветитьI would love to take a tour of Jay Leno garage 😍
Ответить🇺🇸
ОтветитьDas wäre es. Eine Führung durch Jay Leno's Garage. Guter Mann!!!
ОтветитьJay Leno has the largest and most complete collection of Brough motorcycles in the world. Like he says, they now command prices in the region of $600K each.
ОтветитьWhen I'd first heard that Jay Leno was dyslexic I expected him to be super smart. Yet, he's an actual tsunami of automobile- and other knowledge. I'll bet he never forgets his wife's birthday or their anniversary.
ОтветитьUnbelievable collection.
ОтветитьJust looked one of the bikes on the DVLA website in the UK and its still registered here, production date, capacity etc.
ОтветитьWooooooow what a collection
ОтветитьWhat an amazing wealth of stories behind each of these picks and cars! Thanks Jay
ОтветитьMy Dad Rode a 1952 Nimbus back in Denmark does anyone have more info on the Nimbus ?
ОтветитьThese bikes has got more soul than a sock with a hole! Gotta love 'em!
ОтветитьI bet Jay could have done without the ass kissing and the Harley ad.
ОтветитьWhat an amazing collection
Ответитьfun story .
Ответитьi love this car Jay ! big 7 :)
ОтветитьDo you know Jay I used to like you and watch you and then you are there with Joe Biden riding in his Corvette
ОтветитьTerrible camera work. Must be a ha ha Harley rider. A simpleton.
ОтветитьA ha ha Harley shirt? Hahahahahahahahaha!
ОтветитьJay, congratulations on using the correct language when describing the use of a motorcycle, for example, you know that motorcycles are ridden and not driven.............great to hear.
ОтветитьJay had a great knowledge of these bikes. And Im a bit jealous of his garage and all the bikes he has in it 😊
ОтветитьThose " Castle" forks taken from HD, are actually Brampton forks, similar to the Harley forks, but were built with rotary dampers, as opposed to a rebound or leaf spring.
