The local, childless Kurdish women give offerings at the hill, hoping for a child. The fertility myth of the hills still lingers. Mirazan is the meaningful, local name for this entire super old civilization/culture. A lot better than the silly name of Gobekli ("potbelly"), or Karahan ("black tribal chief", instead of the meaningful local name of Sederi ,”three gates”)-- given to it by the ruling government there . I hope you continue showing us more and more of the Mirazan sites as they get dug up

Has anyone considered that maybe they filled the pit with snakes and used the pillars for some kind of ceremony, running the gauntlet and surviving the venomous serpent was maybe a right of passage? God only knows what what they got upto. Love the mystery 🐲🐉💙

Being from the UK prior to seeing some recent videos from LandOfChem featuring sites in Japan, it hadn't occurred to me how much crustal displacement would effect the dating of sites using archeoastronomy. Whilst that area is bang in the middle of it's plate (unlike Japan), over 12k years it still would have moved about 360 meters from where it is now. Does the archaeoastronomical dating of these sites (or any sites in the world) take into account crustal movement as well as axial precession? I'd like to guess axial precession is, as this aspect is clearly astronomically related. However thanks to how modern day science forces people to pigeon hole (to avoid people finding out the big picture), I'd have my doubts if they made they the jump into including geological aspects into the programs they use.

My intuition is trying to tell me that the pillar shrine was submerged under water.
