What Canadian coin can be used?
ОтветитьWhat if it won't turn to the right at all?
ОтветитьYou confused turning to the right and left. To LOWER the arm, turn COUNTER-CLOCKWISE. To RAISE the arm, turn CLOCKWISE.
You're welcome.
I just got a secondhand Classic Mixer, and have been learning as much as I can on how to use it outside of the normal off and on function😂. Thanks to this video I just did the dime test and it was way too high by almost 1 1/2 turns. For those performing this maintenance at home a 1/4 of a turn may actually be too much. On the last adjustment I ended up needing to readjust the it back up by 1/8th of a turn. Thanks for the video.
ОтветитьGreat video with clear audible and visual guide. I can remember righty tighty - lowering the beater to make it closer to the bowl, and lefty loosey, to raise the beater. I just received my 5 qt Artisan stand mixer so I'm going to try the dime test for the fun of it.
ОтветитьGreat video ma'am but if I may offer one suggestion Please Don't Unplug your cord by pulling on the cord, but actually grasp the large part close to the outlet
ОтветитьGreat video for the adjustment. Watch Mr. Mixer if you want to remove those big screws she is talking about.
ОтветитьOmg this was so helpful. It was driving me nuts that my paddle attachment wasn't reaching the bottom of the bowl lol
ОтветитьMy Kitchen Aid mixer's bowl is too low. I tried making the necessary adjustments but it is still about 1/8" too low. Do you have any suggestions?
ОтветитьThanks for sharing this! Unfortunately I cannot do it on my mixer because the screw it's so tight I cannot move it either way. 😥
ОтветитьHi my kitchen aid speed is fast how can I reduce it can you make any video
Ответитьof course we never unplug a plug by pulling the cord
ОтветитьThats for the vid. I have a bowl lift model and i got the mixer to just barily touch the dime but its totaly maxed out in the counter clockwise direction wont turn anymore is this ok?
Ответитьrighty tighty ..lefty loosey....thanks for this tip. quarter turn. 😍
ОтветитьFor mine mixer I had to turn the screw to the left (counter-clockwise) in order to make the beater to lower. Maybe it’s just my year model. I hope this helps someone else who is confused.
ОтветитьI guess the question is... Will a Canadian dime work or do we need to allow for the rate of exchange?
ОтветитьThank you so much!!!
ОтветитьOverkill on the instructions to unplug the mixer. I never unplug my mixer when making adjustments to it and I've never had an issue with it accidentally turning it on.
ОтветитьAfter adjusting, the locking mechanism will not lock in place. When able to lock, the mixer is too low and beater contacts the bowl. How do you fix that?
ОтветитьThe adjustment on mine kept changing - I had to put a little Loctite on the threads to get it to stay in place. Kitchen I’d really should redesign this so it never has to be adjusted.
ОтветитьWhat about if my beater and dough hook don't touch the bottom but my whisk does?
ОтветитьShould I wash the dime ?
... or just wipe it off on my skirt
If you unplug it it doesn’t run 🤨
ОтветитьMy lift bowl mixer has the opposite adjustments. Left drops the mixer (raises the bowl), and right raisers the mixer (lowers the bowl). There's also only a half turn of total adjustment in my mixer, and I was never able to drop the mixer enough to make the dime dance (just barely touches it now, whereas before it didn't come close to touching it).
ОтветитьThe screw is too tight, it’s getting stripped and I have not moved it nearly enough!
ОтветитьCan't get the screw to turn! Have had the mixer 10+ years and recently it's been leaving flour in the bottom of the bowl. Was glad to find the video , but can't turn the screw, even with application of food grade oil. Thoughts?
ОтветитьTHANK YOU!!! I thought that I was going to have to buy a new mixer, because the head of mine was flopping all over the place, and would not lock. It did destroy the lower end of the paddle, which I have just replaced. I really appreciate your clear and concise instructions. You helped save a mixer. Much appreciated!!
ОтветитьThank you for sharing! My attachment which is part spatula has the white coating coming off. How do I get it replaced?
ОтветитьI have the professional one. different design. I would love to have a video instruction on that.
ОтветитьHi and fantastic video!
A question:
but if i have to use the hook, can i calibrate with that? it seems too high calibrate with the "K" and then use the Hook.
Thanks
I got a flex edge beater with my new kitchen aid. Will that work for the test for do I need to by a flat beater? I know the flex edge can be used whenever a flat beater is called for according to kitchen aid but I don’t know about for this test. Thank you!
ОтветитьIs this the issue when the bowl moves and wobbles when mixing choc chip cookie dough even?
ОтветитьWow, a life saver!
ОтветитьThank you for the info.
ОтветитьIf my screw won't turn, what do I do? It's really stuck
ОтветитьHi thank you for the video. can you tell me what is the name of the piece above the whisk i seem to be missing something in my machine its not holding the whisk in place it keeps falling off. it looks like washers or a spring
ОтветитьIm just wondering if the sharpie markings I made at the screw location will be helpful as the screw may be moving with use of the mixer.
Ответитьwhat about for the professional 5 series? its a bowl lift but no screw hidden?
ОтветитьGot Pro 600 bowl lift mixer. Screw does not do anything. About 1'4" gap.
ОтветитьGreat, simple video. Thank you. Love my mixer, had it a long time.
ОтветитьIf you have a lift-bowl model, it is actually LEFT for lowering.
ОтветитьSo I adjusted it well, but now the head won’t lock. If I go lower it locks but then the mixer hits the bowl. Any ideas?
ОтветитьSo, what do I do if it's not moving the dime and the screw doesn't seem to be able to get tighter? I just got this mixer and it only had a quarter turn of wiggle room. Or maybe I just don't have enough elbow grease?
ОтветитьSimply to follow, thanks for great video
ОтветитьThat thing can turn on a dime.
ОтветитьDear Madam
Thank you for your sharing I'm live in Asia, would you please kindly let me know the thickness of coins. thank you so much
Thanks will try this as my scraper is very low scratching the bowl. Though I don’t think a coin is a good test example, they’re dirty.
ОтветитьWhat coin should an European use?
