How To Use Whatsapp on a Mac

How can I use the video chat feature, I download whatsmac and it's still not working, I get this msg saying (whatsapp works with chrome 49+) I downloaded the latest v. Of chrome. What am I doing wrong?

This was a useless tutorial about how to use WhatsApp on a desktop...BECAUSE you need a smart phone with a data account to set it up!!!! The whole point was to do it on a desktop computer if you don't have a mobile account!
