For me, I welcome the shift. It is truly about putting a story in animated form. Nudity, violence and love have been a part of entertainment since people walked out on stage, much less were printed on the film of old. For me, omitting some of the "societal" norm detracts from the artistic intent and the story line and the entire viewer experience.

Gone way too Far? Hardly! I LOVED Inter-species Reviewers and Redo of Healer, more of those please :) World's End Harem though... no, it was Bad. The uncensored ecchi was just a bonus though, Reviewers was absolutely hilarious and healer was both good, dark, raw and fascinating.

Personally I think censorship of gore and sexually is over reaching or overacticed to in North America. People, adults, young adults, and teenagers wouldn’t seek these out if they didn’t want them. Shamming aspects of human nature and identity is Hippocratic and does more harm than good. Tolerance for levels violence and sexual representations are did in generations and age groups. For example the legal age where i live to have sex is 18 but the age in some areas of japan where people can perform sexual acts is 12. Also the age where most teens begin puberty is 12. What people believe about sex what is there own business. Acts of violence are less tolerated unless under circumstances that require it but in a hypothetical scenario in fantasy worlds it’s beyond dumb to debate morality of it to a point where people are shamed for it. As long there is no real harm from having an it in anime I don’t see reason not to have it

i wouldnt say its a good thing or a bad thing for anime as a whole to shift and go through censorship changes. im into darker more violent fiction, this is a personal preference. the issue i see from the shift, and its always been an issue, is that money grab animes/manga are just gonna throw fucked up scenes in for no reason other than attention grabbing. its not really cencorship thats needed more of a warning label. its not the fucked up scenes that make the anime, its how those scenes actually impact and fit into the story that do

ive been watching anime since i was little. Dragon ball z, and all the other aniume in all their glory. But the filler and censoring drove me crazy. NOW after years it may be getting better. I have watched redo of healer and YES its graphic and down right dirty at times. However i enjoy seeing reality in an anime. Honestly, Not many would go through what he went through and not do that. Personally i like my anime to be fantasy but also realistic. The whole "selebit hero thats tempted" situation in most anime is getting down right GAG worthy.... I wouls say Anime like Mushoku Tensai or Jobless reincarnation for those unfamiliar is what i want. I want more of that! More manga like "the beginning after the end" anime that is realistic and fun are always a win. Just because its a fantasy does not mean it has to be unrealistic.

i am all for it

I personally don't like it. I'm fine with a little fan service and gore, specifically if it fits the genre or if it pisses off sjws. But there should be a line on how far anime goes. It gets really hard to recommend a show to people who don't watch anime if there's a random hentai scene in there, or if you can't describe the plot without sounding like a degenerate. Not to mention, I have no idea what it does to normal anime watchers who get used to it. Anime as a whole is more catering to traditional values than western media currently, which is failing miserably in its woke propaganda, so stick to that. A little decency would make it a lot easier to get others invested in this media.

I do have a limit when it comes to Ecchi. Sometimes it gets a little too infidel. I point towards anime such as "Slave Harem In The Labyrinth of Another World." "Redo Of Healer", "World's End Harem", etc. I almost quit "Me and My Cell Phone in Another World." After the last few episodes. Just my two cents added.
