worse piece of crap we ever bought. It didn't even last one year. I have a 15 year old LG that's still working. YES IT IS WORTH SPENDING MORE! If you buy a $400 tv that last you one year it's more expensive than an $800 that last you 10 years.

What about Dolby vision fine tune settings? What about expert calibration settings through Roku app ?

My TV died yesterday, so I ordered this one from Amazon, can't wait to get it, I'm currently watching TV on my computer monitor.

STAY AWAY..TCL refused to honour warranty of a 2 week old tv with serious problems (changes settings, does not respond at all to comnands to change brightness or picture mode). On call with tech support we tried everything including factory reset to no avail. I sent video clips showing problems conclusively, they offered a $20 gift certificate as compensation for for a now useless $ 1,300 tv.

First review I seen that mentions using normal. Would have been nice to go over the recommended settings.

Got this TV to replace my LG UJ6200 which I got on Black Friday 2017. It was nice and all but it’s pretty dated with and I needed something with better brightness so I can watch my blu rays with.

Worst purchase decision I ever made and it was based on this review. Colors are flat and blooming is horrible. Night scenes are terrible. Sent TCL videos of the horrible picture quality and they sent someone from over 2 hours away to "repair" it. Guy replaced every board in the TV and it still looks like crap. Kick myself in the ass for not pushing them after the repair to replace the TV. Out of warranty now and nothing I can do about it. I have a Samsung TV that I replaced with this one that was UHD but lower end, think $500, that has a much better picture. Maybe I just got a lemon but I will never buy another TCL product as long as I live. Stay away.

Any others comparable around the same price

My r635 does not have any of those settings, the menu is completely different.

I have this tv and even in hdr I get this static/grainy look on people's faces and backgrounds especially in darker pictures. What is causing this? The only time it looks super good is with ultra hd movies in Dolby vision.

There are a few channels that I cant turn off the subtitles. Suggestions?

hohestly 1440p120hz isnt a deal breaker. its easier to hit that cap in 1440p anyways...

Did they fix the audio lag with sound bars yet?

Most games on Xbox Series X and PS5 can't even reach 60fps in 4K so at least for gaming purposes I don't see a need for a tv that supports 120 4k.

I'm down to the r635 vs.r646in a 75-inch version. Both are difficult to find and am wanting to know if one is any better than the other.

these are being clearanced in my area i can buy one for 980$ in a 75" vs a 65" Hisence u8H for 900. I don't game, only use for mainly SDR (football/basketball games) ... thoughts @Digital Trends?

I am looking at purchasing this TV in 55 inch. I have seen some people commenting about the horrible blooming on white text on a black background. I'm wondering if this is something that has been fixed perhaps with a firmware update? I use my TV as a monitor and have everything set to dark mode in Windows including every website that allows dark mode so having blooming on light text would really suck.

Every time I use the voice-control, the television replies, making a lot of noise that is VERY annoying. I wonder if there is a way to turn off the reply of the television, thanks.

TCL Brand has become "the nightmare" for the high-end TV brands like, Samsung, LG, SONY ect...

this tv is garbage in the uk, i bought one based on the reviews and i was truly dissapointed it didnt support even 1440p 120hz and the black smearing and ghosting was terrible.

Tv just crapped out on me before it’s 3rd birthday. Not going to buy TCL again.

Bought this tv and found it to be too saturated and had to turn down the colour to 30 for things to not look weird for watching things buts nice and bright

Costco has the 65" Everybody happy with theirs? TCL 65" Class - R635 Series - 4K UHD Mini-LED QLED TV

Costco has this TV at a great price. Is there any reason to look for a similar model with the HDMI 2.1 inputs? Not sure now important that would be to me today, but in the future? Otherwise, this R635 seems to be exactly what I want.
