Nvidia Shield Pro Remote Quick Fixes

This information should be in the knowledgebase and product literature.

After doing that second option my remote no longer lights up. If I hold the centre button down the lights flash but it doesn’t pair.
Edit: followed instructions mentioned by others and got it paired.

Use your TV remote. Works all the time...

Just stopped working today. SHIELD remote 1 not connected. Tried pairing, holding down the button, including this beeps but nothing. Boo. This Nvidia Shield Pro just got RMA'd for another issue.

You can see how much battery charge is left inside your invidia system menus.
1. Turn on your tv then unplug your nvidia for a few seconds, plug it back in.
2. Hopefully your tv notices and directly goes to your nvidia hdmi port
3. If your remote isnt working correctly or just not lighting up press and hold the center button along with the white circle button until it flashes
It should then pair and you should be able to use your nvidia and remote again.

Didn't work. Tried several times.

Try this... I just fixed mine.


Replace batteries.
Do the reset as described in video.
Hold "select" and "home" install second battery.

"BEEEEEP"

not working?

Be at least 1 foot away from box

Press and hold
"Home" and "Back" button.

It will start to flash.

It should connect in a few moments.

If that doesnt work.

Take out one battery and do reset.

"Center" and "home" button

Beeeeep.


Now press and hold "center button"

Remote will flash.
Let it flash.

Hopefully it will connect.

for all of those who are saying that this isn't working and that the remote is still off despite the beep, this procedure is to reset the remote, ( this is a two step workaround ) after that, you need to re-pair the remote with the box by pressing the same buttons as shown above but with both batteries in, this should turn the remote back on and reconnect the remote with the box. the remote lights should flash a couple of times upon successful pairing. hope that helps.

Tried this procedure twice, still not working and no lighting

I tried something and mine came back to normal working order….. remove the the power cord from the shield for a few seconds and plug it back on … the device should turn on … when it’s on the Home Screen press and hold the back button and the circle button together until the remote starts blinking… it should get reconnected after that

Doesn´t work here... It beeps but my remote still doesn´t work with the Shield. Unplugging the device didn´t work

Unplug the Nvidia and plug it back up again. It worked.

Well my Nvidia shield tv remote went from not working but still had the lights working to nothing at all after doing this. So it seems I am worse off than when I started. Not sure why my did this.
Edit: It works now. Just make sure you hold it a few seconds after the beeping stops for this to work.
