With the 1" i have noticed that if i just tighten the bolt first before trying to loosen it, it have worked in almost all situations. The biggest bolts have been tightened to 1200Nm and i used better sockets than chinesium :-P

just bought this impact wrench and it won’t take out my lug nuts of my trailer. I wasted $400 . looking at all this videos i think everything is set up and these guys are promoting this tool. I’m so dissapointed watching video where you can take out the most rustiest bolt but won’t take my. don’t beleive in this tool

Perhaps try tightening the nuts first, then reversing?

The 3/4 and 1" gun are pretty good. But not a mat h for air. I know as a HD mechanic I have them and enjoy them. But the they rattle so strongly the battery fit melts away and you loose connection. Also if the fastener is allowed any movement there is not enough room from the electric to make it work.

Are those impact rated sockets? Idk if impact rated sockets can be chrome plated or not usually they are coated black. Anywho I wonder if those aren't, if using impact rated ones would help break those stubborn ones free. I feel the non impact rated ones are a softer material and they lose a lot of energy in flexing and warping which means essentially you are just cheating yourself out of nut busting power. Idk just a thought. I only ask because a few years back I went to take a crank pulley bolt off and used two different impact guns with chrome sockets and it wouldn't budge. Then I got impact sockets and used the weaker of the two guns (my craftsman 19.2 ½ inch ) and it zipped it right off. I'm guessing the impact sockets allowed more energy transfer into the actual bolt and into breaking it free.

Edit* lol nvm literally right after I wrote that I hit resume and found out my answer lol.

I had an issue with this 1 inch impact gun on removing volvo loader wheels. It couldt get them loose. Then i brought up a pneumatic gun. And it wasnt an old rustet wheel it was a maintained one

So people don’t spend money on 1” because if 3/4 won’t loosen i doubt 1” would do anything about it

The 1" needs a 6 point impact socket so it has more surface area covering the nut. The 12 point is making it bounce off the nut and isn't applying all the force.

I'd be so pisses if you kept impacting it for so long to get it loose. That burns them up.
