The way the mom talks about harsh loving is her way of teaching I knew was wrong, my mom does this and it has turned my entire family a mess. My moms changing tho and that’s good but that kind of discipline is f up

I honestly would do the same thing. Her mom has a life too and probably wanted to be done raising children. She probably doesn’t want to restart. She’s not a terrible person. Why don’t we call her daughter selfish for only worrying about falling head over heels , laughing and giggling about a serious situation, and getting pregnant and bringing another mouth to feed when she KNOWS that they’re already broke.

PLUS her mom has ALREADY told her that if she got pregnant, she wouldn’t want to deal with the child. The fact she would know this and then do it ANYWAY is her fault. WHY does everyone feel so bad for this person??? Actions has consequences.

Her mom is the one that brought the generational curse on her family it wasn't statistics she didn't break the curse. And she cursed her grand baby without even realizing she cursed it with rejection. "I need to be tough on them so they can be ready." Life is gonna get them one way or another so it be nice for a child to come home to loving home. I feel bad for her daughter and thank God that baby daddy parents stood up on not aborting their grand baby, they'll take her and the baby and shower them with love that the daughter so desperately craved for all her life.

So I'm Mexican and that's part of the culture if you get pregnant a partner its their responsibility to take care of them and the way the show isn't right she is wrong for thinking she is owed that care from her mom and her partner needs to be a man and fully grasp how much sacrifice her mom gave for her just for her to open her legs for 2 minutesof fun 🫠

I think I saw this episode and the mother never came around, even after the birth. While watching this I was thinking maybe the mom was coming from a place of “my daughter knows much I struggle/struggled to provide for you & your brother as a single parent and you want to bring another mouth for me to feed?” As a single mom I get it, but I could never through my daughter out! Sure I’ll be pissed, but I’ll have a few months to get over and I’ll be there to support my child and grand child.

Just my opinion... I'm a product of 16&pregnant from the 90's, but was raised by her narcissist mom. Now I'm a mother at 25 in a healthy relationship.
I think young pregnancy is irresponsible for a number of reasons that could just be projections from experience.
But I think Myrka and Ethan were supposed to cross paths, just from watching the dynamics in their families. She could have been on the path to becoming a copy of her mother (against her will), but she met someone who had love to spare. She may have been on the way to believing that she deserved nothing and that she had to stay unhappy, quietly... but he gave her unconditional friendship. Maybe some things will go wrong before they get things right but I believe despite the bleakness that they can come out of this, stronger. Together! With Ethan's family as an example and support, they'll be able to take responsibility for the child by growing together and balancing a give-and-take between eachother. And whether or not I'm just naive, it isn't impossible for youth to learn, and my outlook on this is firm that they've got chances at bright futures still. Just plus one. 😌

The mother using the "Mexican Culture" as to why she is not all lovey with her kids is not an excuse to be so cold. I understand that her daughter put herself in a position where yes there will be hardships, but why not guide her. You want to teach her a lesson by all means yes, maybe prepare her for life and what will be happening and how things can change but, to kick her out! That is just so sad and to say I will not raise a child that is not mine?! Like man that is cold. And then in the car saying that her son didn't eat because he didn't clean???? What in the world! I am just appalled by her actions, she is so cold and doesn't care. Her mother must of have been through so much or done wrong that her kids are paying the price. Myrka, I hope that even when it gets hard that you don't give up and while you're going through this pain and being pregnant I am sorry. Being pregnant your emotions are all over the place and she doesn't need this negativity right now for her health and the babies health. Yeah the mom is pretty fucked up but we have to remember her upbringing. So she thinks the way she parents is correct because that’s all she was taught. The daughter shouldn’t be having sex to begin with, and she got pregnant. That’s her doing. So basically they’re both in the wrong.
