How do you make the controls not feel slow and clunky? Is there a stat for that? Cause that's the one thing that's stopping me from actually getting into it. And wtf does anything mean or do? You said go do quests, but I cant find shit except more enemy

Bonus tip: most enemies can hurt each other, like trolls or halberd/bow golems. Get them grouped up and chasing/attacking you like a train in CoD zombies, and they’ll wreck each other for some very easy kills against high health/damage enemies. Then, the last one standing should be pretty hurt and easy to finish off.

Particularly, for the two halberd golems on the bridge in Stormveil with an archer at the back, the archer can drop them if you hide behind the halberd golems and allow you to get some really easy critical hits.

I’ve found that I get a lot better when I just dodge and don’t even try attacking bosses. After a few runs like that I start to subconsciously realize when is the right time to throw in an attack.

I unlock a lot. I always feel like being locked on for anything that's not far away and unaware is like being tied to it with a rubber band. The one mistake I often make is mixing up unlock and unsneak when in a panic (ie. fuck it didn't die yet and it's coming at me fast). I can't wait to get the Black Knife armour to never need the sneak button again.

i'm not sure if "dozen" is the right time to quantify the number of death i got when fighting the stupid ass armor guy after playing for 20 minutes lol

Any stats are quite advanced, killed quite a few bosses - except Godfrey. He’s finishing me in 10 seconds… I think I’ll give up at this point.

The horse weapon tip was great, I genuinely didn't know that. The thing you missed was having a dedicated horse weapon that has reach and swings vertically. Spears tend to poke down and most swords have sucky reach. Nothing worse than having to spend an age fighting a Night Cavalry because you keep killing the horse and missing him entirely. Weapons that swing down with good length will usually hit him and the horse meaning you'll have a lot less hassle if you're not great on the horse and haven't figured out your dodges, blocks and parries when he's down.

Dont go above 60 vigor ever. there's a Massive softlock

A great tip to maximize moving around “big” enemies is stop using auto lock. You can circle them and dodge behind them better.

When facing bosses I think it's better to lock on the enemy as sometimes you might lose them especially if they are really aggressive

Tip ten, play ez mode mages, lol.

Every boss requires you to learn, it’s not just about skill, if it’s your first time actually fighting the boss you may die 5-10 times before you start learning when to attack, when to not attack, and what build or items you should use! That’s the beauty of bosses in this game :)

About point nu.5 if i found a thing about malenia hits and she's at her phase 2 one hit away from dying ,do i restart my 1 decillion deaths progress and die on purpose?

You cant get good, you can cheese, hope for luck and overlevel but this game requires matrix lvl reaction speed to actually survive consistantly.

Stamina maintenance, equipment utility, enemy observation, hit em with the work.

How do you even level up in this game? You start off so weak and enemies are op. Cant even get past lv 1

While games like elden ring are designed for people to fail 90% of the time, to saying death is a so called "Illustrating" mechanic is down right stupid when humans can only die once in real life and the only point of living is to not die!! don't get me wrong Elden Ring is a game worth playing and worth buying the standard edition but it's not nothing special. It's a fun game made in a time where no good open world games were being made.

Good guide, just ignore the part where he says to not stay locked on, in elden ring you should stay locked on to the target 98% of the time, 2% of the time you stay away from the enemy or run away, that is when you do not stay locked on, that's one of the best mechanics of the game, without locking your target you are as good as dead

Aim lock is sooooo bad, like your enemy is 5cm taller than you and is in your face and the aim lock just goes crazy, and the worst part is that you can't use a shield properly without aim lock

Good video as always. I would also add one more thing - it's never too early to use consumables. Especially right before the bosses. And one more - adapt to a certain enemies. there is no equally perfect item for every situation

One more: Don't panic heal

This is my first souls game and I've been stuck on the Godrick Knight for a solid hour thinking there's no way you could hit that guy with all the combos he does until I looked it up and found out you can mostly just jump behind him 😅 , this is gonna be fun.

Don’t roll too early also. Rolling too early will allow enemies to have enough time to redirect their attack at the last moment and still land on you. Wait until the attack starts coming toward you to roll not when they’re winding up.
