I saw a few of your videos where you compare phone playing Genshin and I'm scared to buy iPhone, it look good on paper but I want a phone for 2-4 years and it amaze me how the iPhone 13 pro max had 59.4 average FPS when it just came out and now against the new iPhone 14 it dropped to 52.7 in the same game and same settings... I mean what changed? I'm looking to buy new phone, and Genshin is the game I play most of the time, and on my old phone {Note 10 plus} that I have for 3 years and back when Genshin came out I was playing average of 30 FPS and now it`s still the same and everything is pretty much the same...

What iOS version did you test on?

I’ve played on the 11 pro max, 13 pro max and 14 pro max, with the 11 I could keep it at max screen brightness if it was on mid settings, for the 13 pro max I put some non noticeable settings on off or lowest, with 60fps and graphics at max, while with the 14 pro max I can run 60 fps and max settings just fine, if I run 120 then it does dim and heat up, but at night it doesn’t really matter.

Once again you used no Low Power mode on the 13 pro max..I run genshin for hours with it and have stable 60 fps it's a huge difference.

Same test just in low power mode, I’m fairly certain it will do smooth 60fps even after couple of hours of heavy gameplay without throttling. Also you don’t cook your battery and don’t get your screen dimmed as LPM keeps the phone only slightly warm to the touch and only where the SoC is located. Since you’re not expecting it to play at 120fps, LPM can simply be switched on and off between game and normal UI while giving you plenty more battery life.
