Blades all day they are cooler and badass and give me the satisfaction of cutting people to pieces.

Even though mo owire is objectively more effective for groups and has higher dps. I cant help myself sticking to the mantis blades because they looks so badass

yea monowire has range does more damage and can use same mods as mantis blades. I take it for ranger factor since it helps in fights.

I hate the monowire simply for it's visuals. It looked like i'm pulling an artery from my wrist. That imagery alone is why i refuse to use this thing since anything neck or wrist related will make my skin crawl

i do like the mantis blades but i think the mono is alot more stylish also aoe attacks are just handy to have

they ARE more powerful, undoubtedly. however unlike hands or blades - monowire has no perks that enhance them. it doesn't heal you (granted - at lvl 50 that becomes redundant, but still), cause any additional effects (such as knock-down, parry+riposte, bleeding ... you name it). I am not trying to say monowire shouldn't be used, out of the bunch I liked them the most as well as they are a "tool of mellee mass destruction", just saying they do not have the same support structure and thus I go for mantis blades, even though I like other things better (as MBs let you use both fists and blades, giving you more fighting style options).

At first i wanted to use mantis blades with sadevistan but then i got to thinking there is a good reason why Lucy uses monowire and monowire description itself says it can dismember limbs so i decided to give it a go. Now its my favourite melee weapon in the game.

I just hope CDPR recover for Phantom Liberty the Monowire Hacking ability that was shown on the deep dive video :c That was so badass! We really need it!

Even though mantis blades are asethically cooler looking. Gameplay wise they are annoying to use when you're doing a Sandevistan build and they keep forcong you out of slow time with the finisher move i wish you could toggle itboff.

Plus, realistically, you would be forced to wear short sleeved shirts because they tear or wouldn't be able to come out if the shirt or jacket sleeves are long. Monowire is more practical and is designed to be used on large groups

In the cyberpunk world, its always style over substance. The mantis blades have more style than the mono wire because mono wire doesn't feel like an augment or an implant. V might as well be wielding a laser whip than popping a weapon from cyborg arms.

I recently got into first infecting them all and then storming in with a shotgun while they still try to figure out what's going on. Makes for good BD material having all these bodies and body parts flying all over the place.

The moment I found it, the game was broken. I upped the difficulty but it's still broken.
Its insane how much DMG these deal to a WHOLE BUNCH OF PPL AT ONCE!
And the cool factor...a cyberpunk classic written by the Takeshi Kitano in Johnny Mnemonic.

Never understood the charge function of monowires. There isn't a bar or a visual indicator of charge level.

In my playthrough, I've got a sandevistan, a monowire, and most importantly, Rebecca's shotgun. I wish I could have the rest of the Edgerunners's style of stuff. Though I'm happy with what I have right now.

The most satisfying thing to do with a monowire is hit an explosive.

Monowire is a devastating medoum range weapon because it can take down a group of enemies in a few seconds while knocking them all down and keeping them from fighting back. Their range is much farther than you'd think as well.

Mantis Blades are cool looking, but they do less damage than Monowire and they're actually a little worse than Gorilla Arms since both can attack only one enemy at a time and do roughly the same damage but Gorilla Arms boosts your Body stat.

If you put skills into blade, Monowire is better than Mantis Blades and if you put points into blunt weapons or brawler go with Gorilla Arms.

I prefer the mantis blades cuz I think they’ve got a cooler look to them and some fun little extra animations like the lift. I was completely expecting the mono wire to work like a garrote or maybe to entangle enemies so it could totally work.
