I have never seen a game with worse writing than Far Cry 5. I kill like a hundred guys to get to a boss, am festooned with weapons, but I can't just shoot John in the head because I'm playing a cop and must arrest him, even while he's torturing a fellow officer? So he just leaves after a two minute speech, because there's a two foot wide window grate thing keeping us apart.
That's lazy writing. They took the main character's voice away so they could write their bad guys giving long winded speeches, and you just have to sit there and watch. Terrible.
The game's mechanics were fun. The writing was shit.

Once you realize Farcry shares a world with Assassin's Creed and other Ubisoft games alot of these plotpoints have way more impact

It's funny that, when you realize Farcry and Assassin's Creed share the same universe, especially once you get to Farcry 3 onward, alot of these plotpoints have alot more significance
Things like Jason getting his ring finger cut off, the references to giant ancient hunan like creatures, Ajay finding a tree with golden apples that is supposed to bring immortality and seeing/transforming into the yeti like creature, a character being referred to as a "reincarnation of a goddess"and a whole lot more

the best way to play fc4 is to not play at all and wait for pagan cause amita and sabal are both ass

I haaaaaaated the ending of 5. It made all of your choices irrelevant and you don’t even get the satisfaction of offing him. Then, to make it even worse, you find dep in new dawn and he was a shell of who the deputy was. Dep deserved better.

Btw can someone explain me why the U.S Goverment didnt send like any help to the Hope County in Far Cry 5. Like, i know its just a game but still, it seems kinda strange that no one from outside of hope county didnt come to help or stop the Cult (Besides for the guys on the beggining and our main character). Soo can someone pls tell me why there wasnt even any military coming to help after the nuke?
