Alan Wake Rift Showcase - TOME 18 REVISION

Just a really quick video to showcase the new Alan Wake rift, along with the new skins. They are all amazing! The Clown and Yun Jin's outfits are community made, meaning they are free to grind and will be made available in the future only with iridescent shards (Similar to Mr Puddles)

As far as I am aware, Mr Scratch doesn't have any unique voicelines. Have not tested if Hillbilly got any sound changes, but no new animations.

There are two animated icons / banner combo based around Alan Wake! Plus, there are more icons in the challenges instead of the pass.

This is one of the best value rifts they have made in terms of skin quality!

Everyone is saying stuff about the clown skin and pennywise, but imo he looks more like Art the Clown from Terrifier

Ngl, pretty disappointed. Dont get me wrong the skins are fine, and i will use the Yun Jin and Nea ones. The killer side is just meh, for example. As nice as that Clown skin is, wont make me want to suddenly play Clown, which i feel will be a popular opinion lol. It is a nice skin though.

The blonde guy looks a little bit like the villain from far cry 4

I understand the main focus of this is Alan Wake 2 but I wanted the classic Mr scratch outfit, hope we get in the future tho. Thanks for the showcase

For players who plan to stick with the game in the long term, I highly reccomend getting the battlepass for this game (only buy once you reach the last tiers to be sure to get the auric cells back) because even when you dont plan on getting it you will be able to buy two licensed characters.

I hope one day they do something a bit different with the deep rift. Very rarely do the cosmetics not look worse than just the default rift colors and even rarer are they better. Only recent one that comes to mind is the artist skin from a couple tomes ago. The deep rift blue mixed into her weapon looks amazing and the outfit looks itself looks really good but 90% of the time is just eh.

Mint, please help spread awareness of this nasty bug that makes playing SWF impossible. BHVR support is oblivious when you try to explain this to them(Don't mean it in a rude way.)

The bug is triggered via having a BHVR account and linking steam to it with any other platform. In my case it's XBOX. Unknown how likely it is for this to occure, but if the bug occures you're stuck with it until they sort out whatever the hell it is causing it, it WILL NOT LEAVE YOU TF ALONE.
It works like this:

1. Bug is STEAM EXCLUSIVE. Upon launching the game you will be prompted with an account error. It will state "You are currently logged into another account, if you continue you will be logged out of that account and play on this one instead." If you have this bug, that's your doomsday countdown, if you aren't inviting your SWF very fucking quickly, you're dbd is fucked, restart the game.(DISCLAIMER HERE: ALL ERROR MESSAGES ARE "an unknown error has occured" or "Lost connection to host"

2. Upon inviting your friend to your lobby 1 of 2 things will happen, they'll be able to see your invite as normal and join. Or see it, try to join and it won't work at all. If your friend invites you, you'll try and join and get booted with the error message "an unknown error has occured."

3. When they fail to join or you fail to join them, you have to restart the game because the bug has taken affect.

4. The scenario where your friend joins, if they join you have to ready up instantly and start looking for a match before the doomsday clock reaches 0. IF YOU WEREN'T FAST ENOUGH, you either go in alone or your friend goes in alone. OR you just get booted to the play as killer/survivor screen and this can happen to you or your friend. WHEN THIS HAPPENS. Go ahead and restart the game. Bug has taken affect.

5. Now the scenario where you actually got into a game, congrats. That's the 1 game you'll be playing and then you'll spend 30 mins fixing you fucked account by restarting constantly until you eventually get into another game. CAUSE GUESS WHAT, you are only playing that 1 game and then you'll get booted to the play as survivor/killer screen when the match ends with the error message stating "an unknown error has occured." btw you can go ahead and restart the game when that happens. Bug is in affect.

6. Doesn't affect solo Q or killer.

7. Sometimes you have to restart steam or even your pc.

(When I play with my friend, we play 2 matches an hour. That's how gimmicky the restarts are.)

imo the clown skin looks a lot like one of the mosters from scooby doo movie he appeared briefly for few moments at the beggining in some kind of factory if i recall corectly
edit: i just looked it up and its from 2002 movie and theyre almost identical

That's a pretty incredible clown skin.

Free rift mid, premium rift not worth it.
Clown and Mikaela skins are really good, every other skin is just a recolor or simply trash.
Also, where's Jonah skin? They mentioned a recolor for him but there's nothing.

As a Jane main I feel nothing but sadness that her skin is simply a recolor

I won't sugercoat it. That Clown skin is the closest we'll ever get to Pennywise in DBD.
