Это при том, что Щербине вообще не было никакого смысла покрывать персонал ЧАЭС — он как бы завпредсовмин, и ему от косяков что энергетиков, в ведении которых была ЧАЭС, что физиков—ядерщиков, которые проектировали РБМК, вообще ни горячо ни холодно — это не "его" ведомства, и "его" никогда не были. Наоборот, если уж про "подковёрные игры" думать, ему как члену комиссии по ликвидации раз было бы выгоднее преувеличивать масштабы, так как это лично его влияние увеличивает и больше ресурсов ему даёт.

Взрыв активной зоны реактора был обнаружен ещё в тот же день 26 апреля, сотрудниками ЧАЭС на месте, и его никто даже не пытался скрывать, потому что ещё до 1 мая с воздуха было сброшено несколько тонн *материалов—замедлителей ядерной реакции*, которые нужны именно для случаев взрывов в активной зоне! И, если бы персонал станции и пытался бы что-то скрывать, то им бы эту авиацию и эти материалы в таком количестве бы *просто никто не выдал*.

Господи, если бы не этот учёный, наши страны были бы зонами отчуждения на сто лет. И как мало нам о нем говорили. Этот фильм должны были сделать МЫ, а не Американцы. И сделать давно.

хомячки рассуждают про клюкву, а в совке уже была авария подобного типа. и не малая. всего в два с хвостом меньше чернобыля. но была сокрыта. По этому даже ликвидаторы во многом не были осведомленны об этом опыте. по этому совок куда хуже здесь показаного.

I personally disliked the explanation by Legasov offered to the high officials. I was 10 at the time of the catastrophe and I remember seasonal (normally in spring and/or autumn) trainings: how to leave the classroom and quickly but in an organized way together with the classmates (and how to check that no one is left behind) get to the shelter, how to behave in the shelter, how to keep silent and speak only if it's really necessary and in whisper (because you'll be overusing oxygen). So, normally this was followed by a lecture on the damaging factors of a nuclear explosion (the times of the Cold War, you know). Even now I remember that alpha particles can be stopped by white clothes (even a piece of paper), beta-particles are stopped by glass for example, while gamma-particles are the nastiest and only a very thick concrete wall can give you a sort of hope. This passage about U235 from the film is a disgusting piece of quasy-romantic poetry, our country received a better explanation about nuclear fission and all the resulting radioactive long-lasting sh8t with centuries of half-life. I state openly, The Chernobyl by HBO is not my cup of tea, there are there are a huge number of inaccuracies and stereotypes about the USSR / Russians. M. S. Gorbacov is highly educated person, lawyer, inteligent man, who has both good as well as bad sides of his personality. But excuse me: Gen. sec. Gorbacov in show is like an uninteresting, stupid variant of Stalin. I could not imagine, He should say: "Boris", in reality. Boris Jefdokimovic is better. M. S. stated, V. A. Legasov is an unknown person to him. Yes, they were not friends, but they were not unknown to each other. B. J. Scerbina had been calling to V. A. Legasov, there is some accident at Chernobyl NPP and he had been chosen as a member of the commitee. but here the government commission is still being formed at Politbiro of The CPSU. Boris jefdokimovic answered, He does not know, how the nuclear reactor work?
