Thanks mami. I don't own a grinder. If I use the same measurement in the mixer will I get the same texture. I small doubt. Some add raw rice. Will it make a difference

Two questions. I am cooking for only 2. Can I reduce the recipe to 1/4th...1 cup of rice? Also, I do not have access to a wet grinder where I live. I can order one but it is prohibitively expensive. I do have an excellent food processor. How can I use that. Wonderful video...thank you so much.

I dont know from which city you are, but the way you are making idlis are looking too perfect, thanks for the detailed explanation, Idli rice is not that easy available in northern parts of India, and also online it cost around Rs 75 per kg, while normal rice here cost nearly 35-50 per kg. But I will try to find a place where I can buy idli rice on cheaper rates or will buy online.

I love idli very much and other south indian foods, will visit your channel for other recipes :)

I followed the exact recipe yet my better didn’t ferment, I stay in canada and it’s too cold here so I wrapped it in a cloth and kept in warm oven for 12 hours. Please suggest

I have 3 layer idli cooker.. when I cooked idlis the lost two layers of idlis are fully mixed with water and it's looks unshaped 😞😞... I felt sad.. every time my husband have been scolding me..

I don't know when will I cook perfect idli..🙁

Thank u for your recipe. Dont u wash the rice and urad dal mam? I thought that's very important step. Please let me know. I stay in cold country it does not ferment at all. Please advice what can be done for fermentation in cold countries. Hear in London I try to ferment the batter. But it never ferment even after leaving it up to 24hrs. Thanks
