Have a Samsung KS800D plugged directly to the wall and it still blinks when I watch Netflix, Prime, etc that I play from my XBox S. It does not blink when I watch from my Directv box though. I have replaced cables numerous times. I have found when i fiddle with the video settings on the xbox or tv it SOMETIMES stops... not sure why.
ОтветитьThanks for the video. In my case, moving it to another outlet on the same surge protector worked.
ОтветитьThank you so much. I have only had this tv for a few months and it was a huge purchase for little ole me.
I woke up today to find this strange dimming flicker out of nowhere that was EVERYWHERE - even the menu screens. So- it likely wasn’t an input issue. It looked so much like a power issue but I didn’t think in a million years it could have been my $$$ surge protector that I bought to protect this tv!!
I was panicked and heartbroken and watched SO many other videos (with so many long ads and intro graphics) before I came across this one. After trying SO many other things - it wasn’t going away.
I had just recalibrated the screen using the Samsung app- which seemed to help- right before this video and I feel pretty confident that this is the real fix for the behavior of my tv was displaying.
Still early- but flicker is gone so far and I am so so grateful.
Life saver!
ОтветитьIt worked initially, but after 15 min the TV heats up, and the flickering appears again.
ОтветитьI did that and it did not work.
ОтветитьNot the at all, tv is plugged straight into the wall and it’s flickering black back n forth
ОтветитьDidn't work for me. My screen is jumping every few seconds though.
ОтветитьNo your absolutely incorrect cause I'm plugged directly into the wall
ОтветитьThanks man. After years of trouble shooting on and off you finally helped me out heaps for my Nintendo switch flicker. Thanks heaps 👌🤙😃
ОтветитьWow amazing I spent about 2 hours searching and watching videos in order to fix my tv and was like there’s has to be a way to fix this I had my Samsung tv on a surge protector for a bout 2 years with no issues and then the flickering happens I tried your method and it started back up it took a min to get its images back running but it’s working now than thanks for the help 🙏🏼☺️
ОтветитьIt didn't work for me :(
ОтветитьDude!! I was about to replace my 65 inch curved 4K unit!! Your simple fix worked. It’s been 20 minutes so far and no flicker!! I’ll keep you updated. Thank you x one million!!
Ответитьwould this work for other brand tvs.??
ОтветитьYes. Unplugging the tv power cord from the surge protector and plugging it directly into the wall receptacle stopped the smart tv screen from flickering. Thank you.
ОтветитьYour my HERO! Fixed in 10 seconds!! I live in FL, hope mother nature doesn't take it out this spring!!
ОтветитьI’m just curious why this works
ОтветитьDidn’t work for me
ОтветитьFixed ! thank you !
ОтветитьI have a neoqled90 and I had the same blinking issue. Worked fine with streaming but cable is where I would have the problem. Turns out for me it was the HD cord. Bought a new one at Best Buy and it worked fine!
ОтветитьOr go into settings and turn off the energy settings mode problem done,,,,,
ОтветитьAmazing Eric thank u so much ...had flickering on tv on 4k uhd on prime. I was using an extension cable .I disconnected that plugged straight into the wall and like magic it fixed .thank u so much .gerard
ОтветитьLol it really worked. Insane. For now turning on and of my power strip fixed it. Will wait if it appears again because I have to move my furniture with a lot of installations to plug it into the wall 😂. Greetings from Germany.
ОтветитьMine has been doing this for ages and I think you have fixed it? Thanks!
Ответитьmine has never been plugged into a surge protector and it has been flashing for the past month and only works when it wants to
ОтветитьThanks for the help
ОтветитьI had this happen wth a samsung 4k UHD monitor. Plugging in to the wall socket, based on this video, seem to make the issue occur a lot less. However, what completely fixed it was replacing the cable. It came with HDMI cable, but switched to a Display Port cable. Might have been a bad cable. I can't imagine that the cable that came with the monitor wouldn't be able to support the display...
Ответитьthnks man 🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьThank you Eric C. I did what you recommended and it works right away. I give you 2 thumbs up!
ОтветитьOMG THANK YOU!!! I was about to return my brand need Smasung QLED 65" and slate them publicly for a pile of shite TV and you go and solve my problem in one fell swoop.... I love you for this!!!!
ОтветитьWow!!!!. I saw videos that say I should cut wires in my tv, to changing the board. I was even thinking of purchasing a new TV. Then I saw your solution. It worked!!!!. Thank you so much. You saved me between $300 to $2000
ОтветитьAdd me to the chorus praising your name; this saved me a lot of frustration and, potentially, money.
Ответитьit didnt work for me i unplugged it from my power strip and then into an outlet and it still didnt work
ОтветитьBrilliant idea, now I'll live in the fear of a thunder or loss of power.
ОтветитьHow long does it take??
ОтветитьMine still flickers on and off plugged in the wall? Maybe a ground?
ОтветитьPerfect...it really work!! I was about to throw the darn tv out the door...lol...thank you!
ОтветитьWhat’s a surge protector
ОтветитьThank you Eric your video kinda helped I took out my tv cable from the power extension that it was plugged into and then I attached it to another power extension. I checked it before using it so that there is no mention of surge protection on it. Now my screen is working flawlessly. Keeping my fingers crossed and lets hope that it stops flcikering. :)
Stay blessed.
Nope, not here!
ОтветитьThank you so much! You just saved me $100 that I was going to pay to have it serviced. It was driving me NUTS!
ОтветитьWhat about a regular extension cord? My TV cable can't reach a regular outlet in my room.
ОтветитьWould a extension work? Or have be plugged directly in. Mine is doing this now. It's fine playing xbox but movies or anything else it does it.
ОтветитьI got mine to stop flickering by changing the color bit rate to 8 on the pc display settings.
ОтветитьIt worked! Thank you so much! 💓 you're an angel!
ОтветитьWell, you're the man. It stopped. 👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾
ОтветитьOMG... I woke up this morning and saw the side of my TV flickering. My heart sank😨... I found this video and thank God I did. It worked instantly. Thank you 😁😁😁
Ответитьlol it literally made it blink 5 times worse after I did this. Wild.
