I'm a retired collision technician who grew up in the rural south during the glory days of the muscle car era. And it breaks my heart to remember just how many of these classic cars were destroyed by bad ideas such as this.

A little late to comment, but if you would have put a universal radiator hose on the oil fill tube you could have directed the fumes to transmission or out the other window, etc.

man some sheet aluminum, tin snips and gorilla tape would have fixed most of your problems

Watch out for them exhaust fumes, I drove a car with that problem, it gave me severe head aches. And maybe some brain damage.

If you actually go to yards that put cars up on wheels, you'll notice that about 10% of them have fallen off.
