So we can eat animals that have been poisoned by the frog without getting poisoned ourselves?

Can you have these in California? And if so would you recommend putting them in a tank that’s part water part land, and have shrimp and a beta fish in the water?

Dart frogs do not naturally secrete toxins from their skin. The result of a dart frog's toxin is the consuming of a certain type of insect found in the wild. This is why dart frogs that are kept in captivity do not secrete toxins; and are therefore completley harmless to their owners. With this being said, be sure to wash up after coming in contact with a frog. Don't want to take any chances!
