ОтветитьI've no idea what dme/dkg combination is in this vehicle but I can tell you as a matter of fact an oem dme/dkg combo interfaced properly works 100% reliable as it does in the road cars it came in. Problems come from people. It's a shame you were unable to get the support you need to make it work as simply put nothing comes close to controlling these products as the equipment which was made to do so.
ОтветитьYeah, unfortunately DCT's don't seem to transfer well to other cars although there are aftermarket DCT's with their own control units but $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

ОтветитьPhil, I’m glad you binned off that particular DCT control method, I’ve had issues with mine for a long time. I’ve stuck it out and it’s at a point where I can use it on track but I wouldn’t trust going to the shops with it.
I’ll give you the keys to the DCT E39 M5 if I see you on a track day, see if our notes compare 😅

ОтветитьExcellent work once again. Persevering with a challenge is all well and good, but sometimes the right call is to give up and pursue a different solution. The DCT looked great to drive when it was on form, but I'm sure the sequential box will be almost as good, and WAY less problematic. Absolute win on the weight savings too! Top stuff 👍👍👍

Most people would just deal with it, cheap out, or just give up.
You deserve all the props in the world for having that eye for detail and constantly striving for excellence.
