I’m not joking when I say this is probably the best car in the world to own right now. Tuneable, metzger engine, classic looks, appreciable value, more ‘fixable’ and less expensive that PDK later models and more reliable that air cooled 993’s etc. sold my M4 years ago to buy one - pretty much a straight swap at the time. In Australia the M4 is worth around 60-70k AUD now and the 997 valued at around 200-230k. Get one if you can and please don’t underestimate the Tiptronic!
ОтветитьDid you pin the camshafts?
ОтветитьR u lowered? Me 2007 6mt c4, no bouncing around like u!
ОтветитьMan I want one of these soooooo bad. A manual 2009..
ОтветитьMEZGER!!!!!
ОтветитьGreat video, love it!!
Ответитьnow only to find the monies to buy one 🙂
ОтветитьThanks for making this video. I also have a 997.1 Turbo and I think it is a sleeper.
ОтветитьJust got mine. 997 T 1997. Cannot recommend this enough!
Ответитьmaster pice ( the intro)
Ответить997 is one of the best looking turbo
ОтветитьFunny watching this after the 997 LS3, 991 and now a 997 Turbo. You should have showed this last year LOL
Ответитьover gtr ??
ОтветитьTHE SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR!!! I had the same posters; same sentiments to those cars!
ОтветитьDream car! I’ll take this over a GTR or a Vette
ОтветитьGood vid. What do you estimate the annual maintenance and repair expense is? I'm looking to buy a '07 TT soon. Thanks.
ОтветитьI want one 🥴
ОтветитьWish they didnt change the look so much from the 997
ОтветитьThanks! Great review. Just bought one today in Guards Red. My 4th 911 and always wanted a turbo and the 997 is the last great design IMHO. Thanks for the info on the cooling pipes. I'll be looking into mods soon and checking out your vids.
ОтветитьMy wife will not say anything, but when you're married silence is not a good thing. I won't be buying a 997. Sad.
ОтветитьWhat mods u got?
ОтветитьYou don't own a Porsche , you take part of his dream .
ОтветитьThey are such fantastic cars, made even better by a few simple mods. Mezger forever!
ОтветитьI have a 2010 997.2 manual 670WHP. Yeah I’ve had coolant pipes and hoses when I upgraded from 500bhp to 670bhp
FVD Brombacher stage 3 setup. Bigger turbos, 200 race cell cats. It’s awesome
What exhaust are you running?
ОтветитьI have a 2008 997.1 black Turbo Cabriolet with 42,000km on the clock. Totally agree with all your comments.
ОтветитьCould you detail all the bills you spent except for on Tyres and brakes.
ОтветитьHad 996tt, I"M NOT SURE why I DID NOT move to 997 TURBO 6spd! When I sold my 996tt 6spd!- 997 has more modern interior and front end and everything else about it, fits me perfect! - I'm really debating! a GT-R with bolt-ons or 997 turbo 6spd, Hard decision! nice video, Subbed to see more content about 997!! currently I own bmw m4 6spd, love the car but it's missing something, plus I always owned AWD cars, used to own few evo's as well !:) cheers!
ОтветитьNice video!
I own a black 997.1 turbo tt.
I see you have the 997.2 tailights, mine are the optional red ones, dont know witch one to like more...
I think its the last real 911 and a timeless machine.
Normaly im a manual guy and i drove the manual but im glad a drove the tiptronic too becouse i liked the tiptronic more, it takes some time to learn how it reacts but it suits the car very mutch.
Also the cluch is stronger than the manual if you ever want to tune it. Mine has the stage 1 tuning ( softwear).
Anyhow you cant go wrong with both of them! Get your hands on one before the prices go up!
Nice video, they really are amazing for all those reasons and more...mine is the last of the 997 TT 2009.
ОтветитьI only recently sold my modified black 930 to fund my dream longhood. I think a 997TT is a good successor!
ОтветитьEvery single point of what you said is 110% right. This car gives you so much performance, reliability, low maintanance cost, fun, history and nostalgic feeling for a price i think no other 911 can give you. Great to see more and more people appreciate these awesome cars. Can't wait to pull mine out of the garage in spring, but just watching this video makes me happy. Cheers and enjoy your 997tt, looks stunning :)
ОтветитьI really enjoyed this video
ОтветитьGreat video thanks for sharing the shots are amazing!
What coil overs are you running and spring rates if you know, had mine for 2 years now and did the DIY coolant repairs and clutch in April.
Just installed the TPC Tractive coils and loving them.
I prefer RWD. This dude has a great beard too. Wish I was able to grow one. Classic 911’s are awesome too. If I were to purchase this model, I’d only get Turbo or base model personally.
ОтветитьMy buddy bought one of these, a beautiful low mileage example - stunning looking car with performance to match.
It’s 13 years old, but keeps up with a rung-out GT3 - amazing.
Absolute dream car! I've even bought a scale model 997 turbo. Also what do you do for a living?
ОтветитьBeautiful car!
Ответитьgreat vid Rob! I have a 02 S2k and I want something def with more power but not sure going toward a vette but also love those 997 turbo Manual, or possible an Lotus Evora
