Thousand Years For You FMV OST ► Deng Deng/Yun Xi & Lu Yan

Originally I wasn’t planning to complete this edit because the drama was somewhat lacking compared to Allen Ren’s previous dramas. But I watched until the very end because I absolutely love both the main leads: Allen Ren and Li Qin. They are just visually too beautiful together. 😂 This video is for those who enjoyed the drama or for those who are curious about the story. This video turned out to be longer than intended since I wanted to include the story of how they met in their past life and I was trying to figure out where to transition that into this video.

The drama didn’t display the actors potential. The script could be a bit better, but still a decent drama to watch. I would probably rewatch Li Qin’s emotional crying scene at E36 because it was so heartbreaking. The fact that they love each other so much to sacrifice themself for the other was so 💔. The ending was left open-ended, they could’ve added just a few more screen time between them! She saw him at the end, but did he see her afterwards? Did they end up together? So many unanswered questions. 😢

I can’t find this drama. When I put in the title it came up with Autumn Cicada which is playing under the same name😂lol. Well NOW I don’t have to watch it do I? Well edited. Bits & pieces remind me of other dramas though. Are they running out of ideas?????

I was watching your edit going, oh yeah this totally looks like my kind of drama! but with the open ending...ehhhh I hate that, i mean - better than an a sad ending but open endings like this always just feel so lazy like the writers never want to actually do the work and show how they're going to re-meet up, or they already wrapped on the shooting and the actors have left so they can't film it so they just cut it like that DX I enjoy looking at Allen Ren too, but he always feel super stiff in every single one of his dramas and he looks even more stiff in this one so idk if I will end up watching or not but I did enjoy the overview of everything you provided here!

I watch this whole series from App Store one to the very last episode. They had so many romantic moments and your editing is amazing. I was still upset that they never had one kiss, but it was still a great series still upset about the ending, but he sacrifice his life for her again

Your editing skills are amazing as always! 🥰 Although, this drama lacked a bit for me, this edit still helped it shine! I still felt that they looked good together even if this wasn't my favorite Allen Ren drama. I get that Lu Yan is a bit unemotional due to his time in the cave for 3,000 years but I know he showed his love for DengDeng in other ways. From my prespective, he originally kept distant because he wanted to remain loyal to Yunxi (until he was sure that DengDeng was Yunxi). Once he was sure, he allowed himself to fall in love with this other side of Yunxi (aka DengDeng). People have different sides to them and can react differently based on how they grew up so of course DengDeng would act different from Yunxi in some aspects even though they are the same person. So, I don't really agree with the thought that Lu Yan didn't fall for DengDeng for who she is currently. He loves all of her, regardless of her time as Yunxi or DengDeng. As for the ending, I am going to believe that they reunite and live happily ever after because Lu Yan keeps his word. From my guess though, I would say Lu Yan probably lost his memories and is finally free from his responsibilities now (allowing him to express his emotions more). Naturally, he would also act different than the former Lu Yan (just like DengDeng differs from Yunxi). Well, at least this is how I am ending this story in my mind. 😁

I really love Ren Jialun’s acting in this drama or am I just too Ren Jialun biased? 😂 There were parts where he sounded too monotoned like when he was asking Dengdeng to marry him. But other than that, I loved everything. That’s how his character supposed to be right? Cold and stoic because he was in the ancient tomb for 3,000 years! Li Qin did really great too. The way she delivered her funny and emotional lines were on point. This is my first drama watching her. But I’ve seen commentary from other people that both lead characters were awful at acting. They also said there were no chemistry but it was the opposite for me. Lu Yan was somehow indifferent towards Dengdeng as he wasn’t sure about her identity, but everything changed after the cave scene. The way he cried plus his gaze towards Dengdeng changed too throughout the drama. You can see he’s still stoic but there are subtle differences on the way he looks at her and cared for her. I don’t understand why they say there’s no chemistry. Plus it was also mentioned at the last ep that they don’t know how to express their feelings properly. Why are some people expecting on a full blown romance on this one? If they’ve understood where the story is going from the scripts every episode, it should have been obvious atleast. 😅

Also yes, Script could be better, but the storyline was good enough for me. I laughed and cried. Really enjoyed the drama. Haha.

Hmm well you kind of answered my question if I should watch this or not?? lol I haven't seen anything since LLTG and LBFAD and I know that has been a while since they finished and I would like to move on but I can't seem to find something that interests me. So I just think about going back and rewatching the dramas so IDK T_T lol
