whats the difference between retrospective cohort and case control study?

I was looking for the roman cohort......

in retrosp. cohort both groups are "cases", that means they have a certain disease and you regard if they were exposed to a certain medicine etc.. in case control, only one group has a certain disease, the other not, and you wanna see what exactly were the expos. that probably caused or played a role in developing the disease, you can compare the % of exposure; wheras in cohort you can just look whther they were exposed to sthg or not...
