Too bad there is no Trophy for upgrading everything. Samething with Supplements, don't even get a Trophy for fully upgrading 1 category. One thing Naughty Dog messed up on, oh and combining The Left Behind Trophy guide with The Last of Us Part 1. Idk, just my opinion 🤷‍♂️.

i rather change the firerate and reload speed by training than weapon modification

How do you all find all the necessary parts to fully upgrade all of the guns and get the achievement?

why do they block the part where they apply the upgrades? so cheap

I really tried all of this, but it just doesn't work for me :(. I can brush and smoth my rifle as much as I want with a file and cloth it just won't fire faster. What am I doing wrong?

I don't know why but i enjoying watching someone pull apart guns and putting them back together. It's kinda mesmerizing.

From my favorite from the short weapon is the el diablo and for the long weapon is shotgun and sniper

I wish I could increase my ammo capacity just by cleaning my gun more...

Kinda bummed the assault rifle didn't have any upgrades, but its a beast by itself so not surprised

It is still a mystery to me at how you spend scraps when you just wipe the weapon with a rag after oiling it 😂

Every time I upgrade the weapons I get so relaxed. All the noises and the animations are on ASMR level for me.

I appreciate how a lot of these upgrades are represented by basic maintenance, civilization has collapsed so the stuff you find is probably gonna be in rough condition.

real names of the weapons with some trivias:

handguns:

9mm pistol: Browning Hi-power , A belgian classic, replace the Colt defender of the original game, why not
Revolver: Taurus 66, which fire presumably 357 Magnum , a surprising choice in a US setting since it's a brazilan revolver but why not, it still based about the Smith Wesson 19
Diablo: a mix between the SW 629 and a Dan Wesson revolver parts , but it's actually fictionalized , would make sense since it's apparently an homemade gun , it's hard to say which rounds it could fire , both small but powerful rounds (maybe if someone could tell me what would be written on the ammo boxes for the gun ingame or at least how the rounds looks like)
shottty: like the Diablo, a mini homemade shotgun, nothing to say really

rifles:
pump shotgun: the mossberg 500 of the og game has been replaced by a Remington 870, i am disappointed , the Mossberg was refreshing to see as a shotgun model. The moss and Remmy are two popular american pump shotguns
sniper rifle : same thing , replaced by a Remmy 700 while the original bolt rifle was a Winchester 70. Certainly fire 308 Winchester in any case
the flamethrower is homemade. make sense since it's not everywhere we would find a military-grade flamethrower so people have to make their own

The mechanics in this game are all satisfying, but sadly is so slow, there is not enough enemy waves. Few minutes of combat and trigger another cutscene. Really waiting for the online mode, and hope there is an horde mode like in Gear of War.

Tbh those animations are disappointing to me

I never put the capacity upgrades on El Diablo for two reasons.

1: I personally believe El Diablo is better as a single-shot long range handcannon kind of pistol

2: Scraps no longer appear as loot items in game once all of your weapons are fully upgraded
