The optical viewfinder also helps me feel more comfortable with street photography. It reminds me of a good old days of photography. Besides, people don't see your face and this is another obstacle for them on the way to any kind of violence against you.
And I think taking photos in a crowd is much easier because most of the time no one cares about you and you do not need to hide. It is much more difficult to take a photo of a person in deserted places where sneaky techniques can be useful.

I practiced hanging camera around my neck and the angles if I stand straight or slouch, then I use the Sony bluetooth remote in my pocket. Trick is knowing how to zone focus and compose in your mind

Are you able to take photos and put them on the web like this in Japan. It's something I'd like to do, but wondered if there are legal issues. It feels wrong to prohibit people from taking photos in public spaces. I understand the privacy issue, but you are out in the open in public, not on private property. Have you ever experienced any legal issues in your street photography career?

Brillant and fun. I personally avoid looking at my subjects in the eyes before and after the shot.

"not wearing a red hat"... I long time had a red beanie and man, it made me stand out to much, people came over and over and asked if I took a photo of them, even if i wasnt even looking in their direction -.-

When you're moving swiftly like that, what shutter speed are you using?

I do the playing dumb and fiddling a lot hahahaha.
