Thanks for the review! Can’t believe for $65K it doesn’t have wireless Apple car play. The Kia niro that I own that’s only around $37K has it, I think oddly enough, not having wireless CarPlay is a dealbreaker for me, on top of that range. Thanks for heads up!
ОтветитьThe flaw is it has bad mileage range if you TLDR.
ОтветитьYou do understand that those batteries are very heavy?
ОтветитьI will agree that the range is an issue which is why I got the RWD Wind. Not as sporty and quick but plenty of power off the line...way more than most people need. Max range, according to manufacturer, is 310...however during most of the year when weather is agreeable, doing mostly commutes, I can actually get 350-360 miles out of it. There are a few drawbacks but the money I have saved thus far is amazing. My favorite car so far and I've owned more than 40 cars in my life.
ОтветитьYou're so cool. We are in NJ too, will you be our friend? Lol
Ответитьnow I know why, this car doesn't have cooled seats and they're not powered. it will take up more energy to do those things which will decrease the range even more. it seems like kia has put all their eggs in one basket for this car and that is just street performance.
ОтветитьWired music play is crazy
ОтветитьIt looks cool in person when i saw it the other day. Way better than in video
ОтветитьI tried this on the Nurburgring its awesome
ОтветитьPeople who would spend $65K on any car are idiots!
ОтветитьIf you have enough $$ to burn go for it! Lol some people have more $$ and no common sense! Lol
ОтветитьThat's a shame. First ev i actually liked too. 200 miles is a joke
ОтветитьUmm you could have saved 4 minutes of our lives by just saying 200 miles. Ughh
ОтветитьWeird, the EV6 I drove here in the UK had wireless Android Auto and Apple carplay.
ОтветитьLost me at $65k.
Ответить"But I could not recommend it." At this point, you can only recommend a Tesla, which many people will never buy. So what good are you?
ОтветитьUnderstanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. A trader made over $350k in this recession influenced market
Ответитьi tell you the real dealbraker.
it's more than ugly.
Try Kia EV9 now
ОтветитьA $24k Toyota Corolla has wireless CarPlay / Android auto but these $60k+ futuristic EVs can’t get it lol
ОтветитьLove how reviewers don't mention no rear window windshield wipers
Ответитьwhy review the GT. Want to know about EV's to use in the real world
ОтветитьIs it electric platform from kia-hyundai that's built from ground up just for ev?
ОтветитьIts an ALMOST perfect video.
The GT-Line has BEEFED motors and yes gets 210 miles to a full charge the dual motor AWD version does 280 miles and the dual motor rwd gets 310 to a full charge. Next for charging while yes not wireless carplay there is charging cable clips on the side of the console for the purpose of having your phone not in the storage tray. For the AC/Audio controls holding it for 3 seconds accesses the menu to set a default. Also the takeoff time is 0-60 in 2.9 for the GT Line version of it. The other trims also have powered seating and cooled seats. But yea he has the point of low range.
They're still KIAs and the depreciate like a rock.
ОтветитьFor everyone whining about range, the EV6 has three packages and the one he's reviewing in this video is the performance option which obviously is going to get the consumer less range.
I have the EV6 Wind, and with that one I'm getting 230-240 miles fully charged.
In fact, I only charge it once a week in my garage. BTW the wind does have a performance driving mode as well, which is insane and costs much less than the EV6 GT.
60k$?! No thanks
ОтветитьEek the GT of that starts at $62k vs Y performance of $55, and the Y gets a tax credit ... ouch its nice but not sure that much nicer and max 200 mile range lol
ОтветитьNot even close to being perfect. It’s already had several recalls. Let’s face it - it’s a Kia. Two of my friends already traded in their EV6s. The main reasons were the plague of issues (recalls, defective charging adapters, etc.) and that it was difficult to find chargers available they could use.
ОтветитьStopped watching when you said 200mi / 320km range. For me any car below 400km (250mi) doesn’t exist. Not practical enough.
In comparison, Volvo EX30 accelerates to 60mph in 3.4s and has 285mi range. And is cheaper than EV6 GT.
So tired of 4 doors! 90+% of the time everyone drives solo....look at the freeways! make 2 door options please
ОтветитьGreat review just FYI EV6 Wind has a range 310 mi. Otherwise, really good.
Ответитьhate the jittering
ОтветитьA time has come when a random someone who doesn't have any knowledge of technology or mechanical engineering start reviewing cars . Wow world is changing.
Ответитьi would surely consider bmw m50 for that price range and even polestar 2 performance even if a bit slower. it’s still plenty of fun at 0.5s slower.
and you get much more in both cases. 2 real sport car
The styling is nice. But $65k for a car with a KIA badge is wild.
ОтветитьYou do NOT have to go into the car to open the charge port. Just gently press on the left side (opposite hinge) and it will open for you - if the car is unlocked. Also the spoiler that extends on the roof is standard for all models. I have the GT-Line AWD black trim - love it. WLTP range of the EV6 GT is 263 miles. You should have tried the GT-Line with seat cooling - nice for those warm summerdays.
Ответитьkia is killin it, this looks great and so does the upcoming EV9. It's pretty cool seeing the EV evolution actually happen after all these years.
Ответитьall electric cars are stupid. period. but this takes the cake- $65,000 to go 200 miles?
also, get an MA-1 and you'll have wireless AA. you could also just run a long usb cable to the phone cradle...can't believe you thought the only solution was to put your phone in that lower area.
It's actually marketed as a SUV not a hatchback
ОтветитьKIA is listening to you.
ОтветитьThe regular long range version has 300+ mile range, which is a lot better.
ОтветитьYou can open the charging port lid by just pushing on it
ОтветитьDidnt talk about the rapid charger. 10% to 80% in under 18 minutes. 180 mile range isn't horrible for commuting and having to remember to plug it up every 2 to 3 days for a night with regular charger or super quick with fast charger.
ОтветитьI ordered my KIA EV6 (edition) and it has RWD with a larger trunk space in the front. And a range of 528 km! That's more than enough here in Europe. I'm surprised that when it comes to cars, and especially electric cars, people are still looking at the faster versions. Check out how much power the car has, great! Ultimately, this is only a very small percentage of people who actually want and can use this. The majority of people, including me (with family), certainly have enough standard power with electric cars. A range of 500+ km is therefore good enough. The EV6 is certainly not a deal breaker! Hopefully people will review the "normal" car more and say you want more, there is also a GT version that drains your battery, good luck. Completely different way of approaching it. But that's what all car reviewers unfortunately do. By the way I love all the content you make, nothing wrong with that keeping up the good work
Ответитьyou need to lock the doors ,start the car with the remote starter then you can use the foward and reverse on the remote
ОтветитьDo me a favour, stick to mobile phones, This is the GT, not a GL Line or the GT line S. The charging time on this car is very immpressive which means if you want a car that will do 0 - -60 in around 3 seconds and charge really fast then this is the car to buy. I would highly recommend it. Cleary, you know nothing John Snow.
ОтветитьWell... you can open the Charging port with simply pressing on the middle left on it.
You dont need to press the button inside
Have any thoughts about the Niro EV? 253-mile range and still pretty nice inside. I’d love to see more from the lower-end EV range.
