Vince needs more credit for allowing Worked Shoots, not many people with an ego will let someone shoot on them in a work. but this is why the WWE succeeded, they took real life and put it on screen

I really think that regardless of what happens with Vince and all the allegations towards him, he will not get the Benoit treatment from WWE. They are simply separating themselves from him till all of this is over and done with. Regardless of what you think of the man, he gave us decades of memories and if not for him and the McMahon family, WWE wouldn't be what it is today. You just can't erase the man and his resume and act like he never existed. That being said, I could listen to Paul Heyman all day long. Actually, add Eric Bischoff and Jim Cornette to that list as well.

I saw every original ECW PPV from Barely Legal to the final PPV Guilty As Charged and everyone of them was phenomenal. The 2 One Night Stands were good as well and when I bought the December To Dismember, what a waste of money.

What's sad is that the "good guys" were the ones upholding that Sports Entertainment aspect of wresting that many fans have grown tired of. Pro Wrestling died it's first death when the invasion angle ended.

The biggest issue with the ECW revival was Vince didn’t want ECW to surpass Raw and Smackdown . In my opinion. Vince’s ego wouldn’t allow another company to succeed especially without his input.

I remember ordering this PPV. Literally BEGGING my parents. I was a fan of original ECW and a Punk fan. I thought FOR SURE Punk was going over.

It's the fact Vince overruled pretty much everything Heyman wanted to do, then had the audacity to blame him for the PPV being so horrific. No amount of tainted nostalgia will ever make WWECW good. It was shite. And this was the peak of it. Punk and RVD being the first 2 out of the Chamber match. Leaving it to Lashley who was still green, Hardcore Holly who had replaced Sabu, a guy on many people's Mount Rushmore of ECW, and who'd have been great in a Chamber match. Test who felt like the only one that remotely had a case to be in the match at that point, and Big Show who was in the worst shape of his career and needed a break (and he was also on board with going out first to help get Punk over as a major player.) This really was Vince at his absolute worst.
