Searching for the best Cơm Tấm in the Miền Tây
Since I was traveling around the Mekong, I decided I wanted to do a taste off and see how different cities styles of broken rice can change. Even with these two cities only being an hour and half from each other, you would be shocked to know how different the styles and flavors were from each other!
The Cần Thơ version was just a classic plate. So simple yet so delicious. It was the pork chop which really blew my mind with how juicy it was. The rice was small and granular, while the fish sauce wasn't too overpowering.
Now the Long Xuyên is what you usually hear people talk about and for good reason. I don't think I have ever encountered a broken rice dish near as unique as the Long Xuyên version. Everything chopped up and ready to go. You have to give it a stir and dig in. This flavor was like nothing I have tasted in a broken rice dish before. It's so unique with the braised pork juices and all that delicious chopped up mixture. But the winner for me at this restaurant had to be the burnt rice, it was out of this world!!

can you review "quan com oanh" down south on quan lo 1. its right off the highway. you cant miss it, cause youll pass by a cloud of bbq from that spot. i love that spot.

Pretty nice, I've already been to Hanoi and Saigon city to eat Com Tam but in CanTho I've never gone so just waiting for opportunity next time

Com tam original Long Xuyen is best ever I have tastes in so many place. The formula is not the same others place

The way you EAT i don't know how you go HOME and not miss Vietnam, VIETNAMESE People's are very warm the food is heavily and cheaper than anywhere in the world , i miss my country so much.

I always got excited and my appetite got doped when watching every single video of yours Max , and i've realized how special what are happening right before my nose and i just didn't appreciate and thank to them well enough . thank for teaching me how appreciated I should be when eating every single dish that I have chances to taste, it's not as simple as it seems <3

texture là chữ không có trong ẩm thực việt, trong kiến trúc là kết cấu nhưng trong ẩm thực thì chưa bao giờ có chữ nào để dịch ra nên tui tạm dịch là khẩu cảm( nghĩa là cảm giác khi nhai bùi dai giòn sừn sựt ..vv)
