Like the new perspective on points of sail. Shows you have thought about these concepts. Graphics are spot on, as always.
ОтветитьGreat videos all around here ! thanks for all the work you put in them !! simple and to the point , just like I like them !
ОтветитьThanks. Just finished 101 course.
ОтветитьSuper helpful! Thank you for investing the time to produce such useful graphics. Very informative.
ОтветитьThanks, this was helpful :)
ОтветитьThank you so much for the informative video! I’m currently in the midst of learning to sail a Laser as part of a school extracurricular and this POV makes so much more sense to me.
ОтветитьI thoroughly enjoy these well put together, easy to understand videos.
ОтветитьThis series and the ASA’s sailing app combine to make me feel confident about hitting the water
ОтветитьI learned to fly and to sail pretty close to the same time period. One of the most important lessons I learned from both is that it is not the air beneath the wings that keeps an aircraft aloft nor the wind behind the sails (except when running, which is the most inefficient tack for sailing). The wing or sail, literally provides lift or propulsion via a Venturi affect of low pressure area over the wing or behind the sail. When you don’t maintain the proper angle of attack you “stall” the wing/sail. The sail begins to luff and you lose efficiency, where as the aircraft loses lift and you are in deep do do. That lesson has kept me alive throughout my Navy flying career.
Great lessons though. I’m kind of doing a refresher to get back out on the water. Really like your low key presentation and enthusiasm for the sailing lifestyle.
Well done. Very clear
Ответить👍
ОтветитьSo, to clarify for my buddy that I always argue with...
All points of sail are defined by apparent wind, correct?
I am probably the greenest sailor on the planet (at time of this comment). This helps so much! Hopefully I can come back here as a yachtmaster one day!
ОтветитьSo glad I found your very informative channel, thank you. This closes all the gaps in my theory studies before I hit the practical.
ОтветитьWhat is tack?
ОтветитьThis was an awesome explanation and the graphics are very helpful. Another great video, Marco, please keep it up!
ОтветитьThis is by far the most informative video on sail placement for wind direction that I have seen. Thank you, I will be watching this multiple times.
ОтветитьThe animations and elaborations are absolutely perfect for a sailing newbie. Can't thank you enough for taking time to explain it so thoroughly.
ОтветитьGreat Instruction Video!
ОтветитьI'm a newbie to all this & I have to say that after watching many instructional sailing videos this by far is the best one. You make it make sense as not many people can do that. Thank you!
ОтветитьThe best explained vids, easy to understand even for the dummies ! well done and many many thanks for sharing these valuable educational informations. RESPECT SIR.
ОтветитьAnother fantastic and informative video. Thanks Marco.
