Sometimes they bring two phases to the outlet in the kitchen, because there are appliances that draw more. If you plug that into one of those, you'l get some sparks!

You connect neutral to neutral - nothing happens. Ground to ground - nothing happens. Live to live - the same as if you twist two live wires together - you just get one thick live wire. Case closed.

I want to see you get another longer suicide cord and plug it into a receptacle fed from another phase. Maybe that would make for a more exciting video?

IT DEPENDS ON HOW YOU USE IT = TURN OFF THE MAIN BREAKER SWITCH AND DO NOT USE ANYTHING WITH HIGH WATTAGE OR AMPS

this shouldn't be shocking (pun intended), to anyone that has wired an outlet before. if you don't break the link on the terminals, they are by default linked and this just adds another link in parallel.

Most often time cables made like that so when your power goes out you can plug your little generator directly into your wall but you first have to go and remove your meter cuz whatever plug line that you plug into everything that was on that circuit is now drawing apps from the generator so if you want to just power your refrigerator our fridge and TV you can do it with that cord do not make it longer voltage is one thing amperage that you're enemy it will draw amps away from your generator and shorten your run time

There could be other types of wiring configurations for an outlet like this. The top and bottom could be fed from two different circuits if the connecting tabs have been removed. If those two different circuits are from two different legs in the panel you might be looking at much different results.

😂 because there’s no load, the plug doesn’t give u power the load draws from it, further more it’s at the same potential.

Two bus’s bars next to each other…208v…do not attempt.

You're lucky the top and bottom outlets weren't wired to separate circuits, or your result would have been quite different.

Would have been prudent to wear eye-protection, also.

What Happens When You Plug a SUICIDE CORD in a LIVE OUTLET?
It goes ZZZZZOTTTT!!!!, the breaker trips, and you cant see anything but a green and purple stripe in your vision shaped like a lightning bolt for about 4 hours, and/or you get a real good jolt and have a heart attack, or at the very least piss yourself. 🤣🤣
