horrible speaker demo
ОтветитьBill Macrone was a Blues Junior legend. RIP Bill M.
ОтветитьI’m thinking that the Fender speaker sounds best. (Wonder who made it?) The Eminence seems slightly dark, and the Jensen slightly too bright.
ОтветитьYou don't need a standby switch on a 15w amp. Smh.
ОтветитьDude. What's with all of the wasted hand motion? Between every set of notes, you slide up and down the neck 2, 3, or 4 times. Every time.
Why???
Interesting. But why is the Head upside down??
ОтветитьWhere did you get the amp head cabinet
ОтветитьMine came with the gold label "Made for Fender" Em Legend 1258 ... after installing the CRex and playing with that speaker for about a year, I went back to the OEM speaker. The tone stack isn't made for the CRex... retards have the EQ ..
ОтветитьStock speaker or Jensen
ОтветитьNot much difference between the 3 speakers....I don't know why people tout the Cannabis Rex....it sounded no better and a Weber wouldn't sound as good as these.
ОтветитьCrex is overrated, it's muddy and adds fuzziness on cleans even when you don't want it. A Red White and Blues has the tonal benefits of the Crex but better, and has good clean headroom.
ОтветитьMy ranking would be 1. Fender 2. Jensen 3. Cannibis Rex. Listening through Direct Sound studio headphones.
ОтветитьI love the mids of the Eminence Fender Design in stock speaker.
ОтветитьGreat Demo. Try a lower wattage speaker. I tried multiple 50 plus watt speakers in my bjr. Finally I put in one of the 30watt oxfords out of my 67 Pro Reverb. The low end was flabby with the original oxfords on the pro reverb.
But when I put one of them in in the bjr it was a match made in heaven.
Thanks for a very good demo. The Cannabis Rex sounded best to me for your 335. I liked the rounder tones of the C12n on your Tele. Playing mostly humbucker guitars and looking for edgy "edge of breakup" blues rock tones these days, I'd go with the CR.
Ответитьcannabis is the worst of the three, they are completely stuffy
ОтветитьIf the stock speaker was the first in the series, I think it sounded the best in all cases. Actually wasn't as impressed with the CR compared to all the reviews I'd heard about it. It sounded relatively thin and less lively to me than either of the other two.
Edit: After listening on my home stereo, the Cannabis Rex actually sounded much better. It definitely wins for smoothness. Good comparison, thanks.
Another speaker, they commonly swap, out, and mod., the blues jr., with, is the Celestion Green Back. It's a really smooth sounding speaker! 🔊 👌 😎
Thanks for the demo! Keep rocki'n!!!
🎸🤘🤘
A mi blues jr le puse una G12 M Greenback y suena de lujo aunque extraño el sonido "americano". Tal vez lo mejor es tener dos gabinetes para tener las dos posibilidades de sonido con una cannabis rex y una greenback.
ОтветитьI have a Cannabis Rex in a separate cab which I use when looking for specific sounds; it is a very different animal.Until I came across that model, I didn't really appreciate how much the speaker mattered; got another cab ,loaded with a Swamp Thang, for when I want to go in the entirely opposite direction.Nothing can flub those out, and they're outstanding with baritone and bass.
I performed the Frommel mod on my original USA made Blues Jr.,- not difficult, and def worth while.
