I'd leave it at 1024, add viewport denoising but have it start at sample 16 or 32

10 samples is super low. For animations typically the lowest I go is 200.

How much samples would be good for animation

every time i try to render with gpu, the render screen show nothing and is grey, anyone know why?

Can someone please explain to me why blender is spending time on empty frames? I literally spent ages reducing the number of frames to less than a half so I can speed up my rendering time. But all that work is just useless because it is just spending time rendering the empty frames anyway? Any suggestion please?

Public Service Announcement. New users please stay away from ANY AMD GPUs for content creation and specially blender. Besides the performance being terrible compared to NVIDIA, AMD does not even support features such as raytracing and will drop support for hardware whenever it feels like.

Buy NVIDIA , besides their hardware being way faster, their software support is WAY better.
