Podcasting Tip: Things to Do Before You Podcast

So, you want to start a podcast? Great! Its very therapeutic AND its your opportunity to have your voice heard while bringing light to issues that are parallel to your passions. This means, DON’T present your show on the fly. You know, talking off the top of your head without any research or flow. Take the time to make sure you are knowledgeable on the content you’re bringing to your audience. Plus, no matter how entertaining you think you are when you are not prepared your listeners will be able to tell.
So plan ahead! Spend time researching, organizing and prep work for your show. For my own podcast, each quarter marks a new season which I outline and plan so that I’m able to build my guest around it. It starts with an idea and from there I makes necessary adjustments.
