Microsoft makes it hard to uninstall edge to prevent fresh windows users to "accidentally delete" and not be able to install any browser.

You could use Winaero Tweaker to basically immobilize Microsoft Edge. I’ve also heard about people renaming theEdge folder so the system doesn’t know where it is.

It literally is easier to install rufus, make a linux mint installation medium and install it than to do this if your objective is to not have edge

Don't install edge then you have no problem with unistaling it.

one time after restoring system settings and apps(idk this name) i just don't have Edge(I don't uninstall it)

I Just deroot the damn thing, I opened file explorer and went to System files and erased it, never came back after a system update

using edge for some months for work now, I regret nothing, solid browser with so much aditional stuff that I'm in need now, 8/10

Edge is actually better than chrome in my opinion, I use it for both mobile and pc

If you want to try another method, go to ‘Windows (C:)’, ‘Program Files (x86)’ and find the folder called ‘Microsoft’. Delete everything in it (you'll find all the MS Edge stuff in there) and then delete the folder itself. Empty your recycle bin and restart your computer. This method has kept my PC free of Edge for seven months now (as of end of July 2023) and the PC still works perfectly. Before this, Edge would reinstall itself every few days and I could only get rid of it temporarily with the "IObit Uninstaller" free software. I'm a retired plumber, not a PC expert, but I hope this helps you.

i deleted edge the wrong way and it ended up breaking windows search, after a restart edge was back and so was windows search.

why dont you just delete the program files from the c: drive

Why do people dislike microsoft edge so much, i did some tests, it uses less ram than both chrome and opera GX, and its actually pretty good once you get to using it, early days it was absolute garbage but now its very polished once you customize it a little bit, you can change search engine to google, you can clean out new tabs, and its quite fast, and the fact that it is a default browser quite helps since it makes it easier for you to set up stuff with microsoft services
i totally recommend microsoft edge, if you hate it, just think about using it for a few days to your liking, there are definitely better browsers, but edge isnt that bad
