My mother came from that era and remained elegant and beautiful until the day she died. My Father was what might be referred to as dapper.
They were beautiful together and my siblings and I were lucky to have them.❤

They were in a literal world war and they were better dresses and even looked healthier and happier than we do.

Women were awesome back then. Lovely, adoring, beautiful, sensual, and willing to help raise families with respect and moral fiber. Today, many women are just too materialistic, shallow human beings. Sad, really.

My Grandmother according to her old photographs was a real Hotsy Totsy! So was her daughter and my Mom.

All in good shape and well dressed.
I noticed that black or very dark lipstick was in fashion back then.

Women back then were so much more elegant, than today's women, even when wearing overalls.

It's peculiat about that cloth shortage and the switch in clothing to more masculine styles. Of all of the stories my momma told me, she never mentioned that woman were encoraged to wear pants because of practicality. She told me about the hardships of the dust bowl. Hmm.

Yeah I don’t get this whole race to look like an idiot… complete losers covered head to toe in tattoos wearing tank tops in the winter to show themselves off in some bizarre narcissistic way… with nose rings pink and purple hair and dressed like gothic hobos…. Smelling of pot popping remeron and Xanax…. This nation snd its citizens are lost

How much more elegant were the fashions of the 40s and 50s. Contrast that to today's crass lack of style and you can see we have regressed greatly. Kind of tracks along with the decay of society, doesn't it?

Women - and men for that matter - never looked better, right down to the hair. White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, you name it. Everyone cared about looking stylish and classy.

Elegance, class and sophistication! And they weren't covered in tattoos from head to toe!

A little elegance was just around the corner.

Today women wear more simply to kill time than the past about 2 hours to dress.

When did women began to strout? If you see 10s footage women walked more like men and didn’t have at all this “femenine” mannerism you only saw in .. you know what type of women.

I couldn't help but notice how slim all there women were.

You can see the political hope in the faces of white people before 1972 and the Affirmative Action desovereignization. They don't have the similar countenance today.

not especially great examples, although the general gist of what they are talking about is. the look of therearly 40's in particular, but beyond that as well, was classy, stylish, elegant. todays general look is rather shlubby. a higher percentage are fat, if not morbidly obese. if you look at old pix, nary a one is fat. bottom line: bring back hats, stylish hats. dump those boring baseball caps, guys, and don the fedoras.
