IMO, HBO’s Raised by Wolves was fascinating. I wish they didn’t cancel it😢

- "Raised by Wolves" stood out from the plethora of redundant science fiction series that make you sigh and say, "the same thing again." It's a shame that HBO didn't even take the time to properly conclude it.
- "Strange New Worlds" is missing from this list. After the disappointing "Picard" and "Discovery," it managed to recapture the charm of classic Star Trek.

the Halo tv serie is from 2022 not 2023.

I really enjoyed Halo. The full first season is more about setting the foundation of the story explaining the Spartans. Looking forward to season 2 which I understand will have more action.

Shocking how they ruined the Foundation by turning it into another woke show. Could have been fantastic. The main actress is do unlikable that I could not watch it after the first few episodes.

Pantheon on Amazon is one of best sci fi of all time. A wonderful anime exploration of transhumanism and the singularity and the impacts on individuals.

I think you're confusing 'best' with listing everything and hoping some of them are good.

Just finished The Expanse and let me just say that I'm blown away by the production value, immersion, and character development.

The Expanse is one of my favorite tv series! The ending was disappointing.

Raised by Wolves was the best sci-fi show ever. Too bad they canceled it. The actors were all top-notch.

Raised by Wolves was great, Expanse was great, and Foundation is great. The Arc is enjoyable but seems written by 8th graders. Trying to get into Halo and want to see Silo.

Do not even have to know the others to say The Expanse is the best ever made.

Some of these are dead on arrival due to the fact they disrespect the source material.

I liked the first season of Raised by Wolves. It was quirky but nicely put together and interesting. The second season was waaay to artsy and pretentious. Just because it got also cancelled I wouldn't recommend anyone watching it as it has no story wrap-up and no major plots are addressed.

Foundation really drags, finding it really hard to stay invested half way though the season.

Raised by wolves was an awesome series. Of course who knows why it was cancelled by HBO after just two seasons. Just to put on some of the other crap they have on now. That's why you can't divest yourself in series anymore because these networks and streaming services will yank them in a heartbeat if THEY feel it's not doing well. I wait for a series to be on maybe 3 seasons before I attempt to watch. There's no need to get into when they cancel after the first season or two.

Nothing beats The X files.

Number 1 should be the voice-over for this video. "A strange, inhuman voice from a sentient AI trying to infiltrate and takeover society, but unable to speak in a natural way. The intro of Raised by Wolves still haunts me. It's the first series where I never skipped the intro.

Raised by Wolves could have been very good, but predicating it on the Atheists v Sun Worshippers was asinine.
There are so many interesting SF plots that could be interesting and brilliant but end up falling back onto some kind of fighting between two groups. The ideas in these series often contain such great ideas but blow it by using the lowest common denominator of fighting or war. Why not a Cold War, or spy/infiltration themes instead? Or some other basis? Altered Carbon looked interesting, but the 2nd series just descended into cage fighting with not enough else going on, instead of developing ideas around swapping physical bodies? Creators cheat by allowing a Rand-ian money trumps all else status quo, with no attempt to explore how money cheats and corrupts to get what it wants. When Creators occasionally give us a revolution scenario, it’s just a means of getting back to fighting in double quick time, instead of exploring what might happen when an uprising is successful. Philip K Dick explored many, many different issues, which have made some terrific films, but rarely get beyond the one-off anthology series. Can we please have some series that develop in unusual ways, and don’t get cancelled, predictably, after one or two series? Not really a lot to ask, I feel.
