Hey friends! Just a few clarifications since I've only seen the Anth interview with Obraxis (link in description) after finishing this vid :)
- "Subnautica 2" is the official name of the game
- Like the Krafton presentation said, we will be on a new planet, not 4546b

I wonder if it will take place as a new random person, or as either the degasi or mercury crew.

You know honestly I did not like below zero at all. The music and the atmosphere felt completely different than the game I knew. I hope this game brings back the feel I had for the first game.

Seems to me like the publisher just threw some meaningless marketing buzzwords around to appease clueless shareholders. Hopefully the devs have creative control and the publisher is just fleecing investors

What i hope is that they make the game 2 player for same console. Like how borderlands has 2 player co-op for the same console. For people who dont have the best internet it would make the game way more enjoyable as i could have my own personal playthrough and have another playthrough with friends or even a family member

Game should look and run better using UE 5.2 or newer. I really hope the devs go with vulkan.api this time around. Valve told devs back 2015 that they should choose vulkan over bloated DX 12. Nobody listen. Steam deck is very successful and it’s proof that Valve knows what they talking about and vulkan.api is better over DX 12. Vulkan is also open source and allows devs to tweak it as much as they want. But I am betting devs will be lazy and go with bloated dx 12 only.

DX 12 is not open source and locked bloated windows 10+. We need more ppl to ask devs to go with vulkan.api over DX 12.

Those investor documents have always just been a way to secure more funding - seems like they hired a team to make it and it got crammed full of dumbass buzzwords because that's what everyone does. Investors generally aren't very smart and if they read the documents themselves they just pick up on stuff they think maximises profits, which is why stuff like shitty DRM (Denuvo) still exists.

Hope the Subnautica team (and devs of their other ganes) are being treated well. Stuff like this smacks of upper management interference in a project.

Mr. Bacon in an interview Obraxis has confirmed that S2 will take place on another planet, not on 4546B. It would be great if you would make an video focusing on those 2 screenshots we got. I would like to hear your thoughts on some details, mainly 2 that I noticed: 1) Sub looks like an actual detachable cockpit of Cyclops looking sub. 2) those two Mesmer looking fish seem to me like they are in a symbiotic relationship with Blue shark maybe guiding it towards pray if it had bad eyesight or even paralyzing it`s pray, because they seem to swim rather close to it and in pair.

Im obviously super exited i grew up on watching Subnautica and im glad that the series is still continuing but then again im pretty sure Subnautica is the only real hit unknown world has had within the last decade but hey who am i to complain i love Subnautica

glad multiplayer will be in it. it’s really my only thing i felt was missing. the solo experience in the game really adds to the terrifying effect but that doesn’t change that i want my friends right next to me feeling the same thing. i liked what the forest series did where they literally just plopped the single player version to multiplayer and really only increasing the difficulty in terms of spawns etc. i think this will make the game more popular as now gobs of friend groups will be getting it.

Seeing the "Sandshark" look-a-like just makes me hope that my boy, my Shadow Leviathan will see a resurgence, it looked sweet

Hopefully they cook up something better than the OG Subnautica, and much more better than BZ.

I do hope that, if we're going to be on a new planet, they do put effort into making a new environment with new models, instead of just feeling like the old world, slightly to the left, which is kinda how the promo image feels right now.
