I've had trouble with mine, when I go to update the software, it will not let me select new version without paying money. I've called them and no go.

There's a huge difference between the scan tools. My friend was visiting and had car problems. I took her to a place that I delt with a while ago to have them hook up to it. Well it was under new management, and the scan tool they were using was an off brand and I kinda questioned it. They told her what they recommended and it didn't sound right to either of us. She went to a dealer and they gave her a list about 10 pages long and basically said that the car wasn't worth repairing. She limped it back home. Her husband found a guy that did work on the weekend and he looked it over and did a scan and his equipment gave a bunch more information than what the one near me did. I think it cost her $350 total to have it repaired. The guy said that a good scan tool and up-to-date software makes a huge difference in helping diagnose and repair newer vehicles. I would love to have one myself, or maybe go in on buying one to use between a few select friends. I have been told autel is one of the best. Now there's a new company topdon that has one that is supposed to be as good as the autel but much more affordable plus you can buy ad on modules to do other things. Have you used any topdon stuff?

Finest scanner I have ever owned. It's different from yours but I totally agree with everything you said.
The software has been upgraded so many times that it's like having a completely new scanner.
It's worth the money, hands down. 👌
The weirdest thing I have saw with it was, it told me a door speaker power wire had a open issue when I was replacing a abs sensor on uncles truck, i confirmed that the speaker didn't work. Just awesome,
