Kids who routinely eat meals with friends are neglected at home. I saw it myself as I regularly fed a couple of kids whose parents were much wealthier than us along with my own four kids.

So sad. I was just in Boardman, Ohio last week. Also I’m a year older than he would be now. I grew up in a different steel town in Ohio down river from Youngstown so we would have had similar lives.

The ultimate judge is the one we all will face when we pass on from this life. If you are evil here on earth, you will held acountable, even if you "get away" from other humans. Your actions here are FULLY KNOWN BY GOD and makes judgement by our lord possible when it's your time. Here's something to ponder over; no matter what you do, you can't escape from death, and when that time comes, we are all judged, no matter what.

How do you know this Mr Hill didn't just throw his dinner in the same bin Brad's body was found in? Or that Brad didn't just sit on a bench Mr Hill had spit on? He's dead. I know it's hard to admit some mysteries we will never get an answer to, but the man isn't here to defend himself. That's all.

it’s so scary and weird to learn about cases so close to home… hearing names of streets i’ve been to, businesses i’ve shopped at. i am surprised i had never heard about this case before, especially with updates coming out so recently. i feel so deeply for brad and david and their families. i hope that they managed to find peace with their situation and were able to have a little bit of closure

wow. i was born and raised in youngstown and never heard of this case. i just talked to my grandma about it and she remembered it very clearly, down to the street where don’s family lived. very sad and scary—i am so glad that he got justice, despite it coming so much later than he deserved.

Maybe for some insight (and I live in NY, not around this case), I can tell you that although these kids were born before me...in the 60's/70's and even thru the 80's, kids road their bikes, skateboards or walked and hangout FOR HOURS, without parents SPECIFICALLY, knowing where they were/how far they roamed or were up to 24/7. It was a VERY different time where kids rarely stayed in their homes all day unless THEIR HOUSE, was the house that everyone hung out at. I can tell you, if you lived in a beach area (all of NYC), you were GONE all day. It was JUST DIFFERENT.

It was a terrible thing that happened to these and possibly other young boys, however, with the technology on DNA research it’s amazing what is happening and how it’s happening now. With the advancements we have kowadays with DNA, I dont see why every person born (babies, toddlers, etc) doesnt have their DNA collected. Not only can they be traced years later regarding crime, but also genealogically families can trace them.

Brad was 2 months younger than me. This was a time when children ran around without parental guidance. This was a rare occurrence in the 70's. No one but the criminal should feel guilty.
